My husband and I spent the evening here for our anniversary and it was just the best. Everyone working was so friendly and welcoming, service was top notch, drinks were delish, music was awesome and the musicians even recognized that we were new faces and came around to chat with us between sets. The atmosphere of this place is awesome and we will definitely be back. We had eaten dinner first so we didn’t try the menu but can’t wait to next time we go back!

This was my fiancé and I’s first time visiting and I must say, everything exceeded our expectations. From the music all the way down to the service was absolutely incredible. The food was amazing and special thanks to our hostess Terri! She was a dear and made our experience even better. We can’t wait to come back. This is definitely gonna be our new hangout spot. (P.s. the drinks were amazing too!)

Blu Note Jazz Cafe is SUCH a vibe! The live music is absolutely amazing — talented performers, great sound, and an atmosphere that just feels grown and classy. If you love good jazz and a mature crowd, this is definitely your place.
The drinks were well-made, and the energy in the room was just right — lively but still intimate enough to enjoy conversation. It’s the perfect spot for date night or a night out with friends.

Coming to Columbus, OH for the first time, we were looking for a Jazz experience. The shrimp and grits were one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. If we visit Columbus, OH again, we will come back and try other dishes. We didn’t experience the Jazz session because it didn’t start on time as planned. Overall, the atmosphere was welcoming and the waitresses were nice.

Had shrimp and grits w/a side of broccoli… tasty. 4-star rating not because of quality, but hope menu options will expand for food allergies like gluten. Although we weren’t informed of cover charge until the bill came (jazz band was great! So cover well worth it), our server was welcoming, friendly, and very attentive… thank you! Atmosphere was clean, quaint w/music related art, and filled with enjoyable music. Great place to return to!

Food was and cooked to perfection! The wait was long(even for drinks) but well worth it. Music was awesome!! Cheap charge to see a live band as well($10)! Great “Jazzy” atmosphere with great jazz magicians and jazz art decorated in every direction great place for entertainment and a date

We had a good time, but didn’t hear the band that was supposed to play(James Gaiters Quartet). Expected saxophone at least. The band that played were just 3 guys with mock flute played by the pianist with drummer and guitarist. They were ok,but not like Gaiters.Disappointing,since we stopped in earlier that week ,to see who was playing. 10$ charge for band,anyway.Cant reach them by phone and no schedule on their site. Don’t know if I will go back.Everone was nice .Food was good.Reasonably priced.

The experience was nice. Small, quiet, comfortable atmosphere for jazz. Nice patio area as well. We enjoyed the show. Not too happy about the price of items for the portions. The drinks are way too expensive for the amount served (which was not even strong). We enjoyed the shrimp and fries. But the Bourbon chicken was not out favorite. Might have to try a different dish. But we will definitely order food only and no drinks.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. I ordered the shrimp and grits and had the butter cake for dessert. I loved the atmosphere and it was incredible all around. The music was great and we will definitely be back!
