Jill, our server, was very helpful & knowledgeable. She was an excellent waitress. My husband had intentions to have the recommended mushroom soup but they had a special turtle soup. Delicious! He had the walleye special, yum. I had the Prawn-cess and the pea. Best risotto ever! The green beans were incredibly good. Shared the bread pudding; also delicious. We visited in February & when I called at 4:00 to make reservations they were already booked up to 7:00. Definitely make reservations. We were told during the summer make reservations 2 weeks in advance.

My husband had the rib eye. Very tender and flavorful. My grandson had the walleye fingers fish fry. We didn’t have a reservation, but were seated immediately. Kind of pricey for our senior budget, but we will come back for special occation.

Last night’s dinner was memorable for so many reasons! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was top-notch. The Hungarian mushroom soup was rich, velvety, and packed with flavor — easily one of the best I’ve had. The ribs were just as impressive: tender, perfectly seasoned, and falling right off the bone.
Our server, Dana, was outstanding. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, even while juggling more than most of us realized. At one point she apologized for seeming a little flustered, explaining she had just stepped in to help a customer experiencing a serious medical event. That kind of composure and willingness to jump into action says so much about her character.
Dana handled everything with grace and professionalism, and still made us feel like her top priority. The restaurant is lucky to have her — if anyone deserves recognition (and maybe even a raise!), it’s Dana. We’ll definitely be back!

Both were outstanding, as well as the service…and Dana, our bartender, made fantastic old fashioneds!

Somehow, we had never been at Aberdeen until last Friday, when we celebrated my birthday there.
Frankly, we had high expectations and they were exceeded (hard to do!). Kathy had the salmon, I had the walleye, it was wonderful, two large fillets, piping hot! Kathy was crazy about her brownie dessert.
My sense is that the fact that the owner is on site and present in the dining room makes all the difference in maintaining a very high standard.

Larry greeted us at the front desk, and were seated right away, in the screen porch. Beautiful view. Jenna took great care of us. Cocktails were delicious and strong. I had the Tuna, and my husband had the filet. I appreciated that I could get fresh delicious veggies as my side. We have visited several times over the past few months, and each time has been pleasant. We will be back to this hidden gem again!

If Google had a sixth star option, this place would deserve it! Unpretentious amazing food! Started with wine and cocktails, fantastic. Great selection of martinis and house cocktails. Walleye fingers appetizer, pork tenderloin, and drunken walleye were all top notch! Ambiance, setting, service and food were incredible!
