Cutest coffee shop. The staff was so sweet & I loved my vanilla matcha latte so much I went back the next morning for another! Love the simple, clean decoration and how they offer table top games and even outdoor space to play lawn games or sit in the sun. Definitely worth a stop while in Canon City!

Really solid coffee done right. The espresso is smooth and well-balanced, and the milk drinks are consistently well made with good texture and temperature. You can tell the baristas take care with how drinks are prepared rather than rushing things out.
Everything feels thoughtful and consistent without trying too hard. The flavors are clean, the drinks aren’t overly sweet, and the coffee itself actually comes through. It’s the kind of place you keep coming back to because you know you’ll get a reliably good cup every time.

This is a gorgeous, gorgeous venue; it’s an old Standard Oil gas station, located on Canon City’s Main Street. Beautiful outdoor seating, even has a fenced, grassy area to play games on. Pet friendly, too, outdoors.
Bathroom is immaculate, along with the whole place. Ordered lunch: lovely brewed tea, great cold buffalo chicken pasta salad and a blueberry danish. All excellent!

This place absolutely rocks! My wife and I hit just about every coffee shop we can find when we’re traveling and we’re so glad we found this one. I do not remember the young lady’s name working over the Christmas holiday, but she is a solid five star for sure! She went above and beyond to do something for my cup of coffee and it was spot on. We will definitely put this on our favorites when we come back through the area. Y’all keep up the awesomeness!

Standard Oil Coffee Company has a great atmosphere, and there is on-street van-accessible parking directly in front, which makes access very convenient for wheelchair users. The tables do provide knee clearance; however, the base of the tables may interfere with the front of a wheelchair, making it difficult to pull in close and sit comfortably while enjoying food or drinks. The single user restroom is wheelchair accessible, which is a positive feature and allows for independent use. Overall, this is an accessible and welcoming location with only minor improvements needed to enhance comfort for wheelchair users.

I stopped by Standard Oil Coffee Company this morning and ordered an iced Pumpkin Spice Latte with oat milk — it was fantastic! Perfectly balanced, smooth, and full of fall flavor without being overly sweet. The quality of the coffee really shines through.

You might think the reason to come here is the beautifully restored building (and it is lovely) but the real reason to come is the terrific coffee, prepared by a skilled, passionate barista. I’d highly recommend pairing your coffee with one of the delicious pastries as well. Run, don’t walk to Standard Oil Coffee!
