Food is consistently solid. Service is indifferent and spotty depending on the day.
During my multiple visits, I tried several of their iconic burgers, from the Smoky Classic BBQ to Carolina BBQ with fried pickles (I had to try them!) to the flagship ShackBurger and the SmokeShack with Angus beef and delicious cherry peppers. The first thing that stood out was the potato bun, sweet, soft, flavorful, and perfectly complementing the juicy beef patty inside, it adds a layer of sweetness to every bite and the meat is cooked to perfection. The quality and taste make it worth the splurge. The burger experience it’s aimed for lovers and it is distinctly satisfying.
The price may feel a bit steep for the portion size, I personally have two burgers at a time to fill my stomach there when I’m hungry and when compared to other burger options in the city Shake Shack doesn’t excels at huge portions but their 116th Street location is a great spot to grab a bite, easy to reach with the subway, a bit expensive but it’s definitely worth a visit.
If you’re in New York it’s a must try!
They are somewhat efficient and last time they forgot one of two fries but brought it back out once notified. Patty was a bit over cooked.
It was also largely room temperature by the time I received it. Chicken tasted good, but bun was a bit compressed.
They can do it better wth de french fries.
Only give 4 star for the milkshake, other than that it’s just poor service.
Remember to order in advance on the app and choose “inside collection” so you don’t have to wait (don’t choose window collection as the system is not very accurate and you might end up waiting for a long time while your burger is sitting inside). Also, always ask the counter for your order; don’t just wait in the store!
