Worse than Chipotle. Maybe it was because I came later in the evening, but the experience and pricing was terrible: stale and rancid chips at Taco Bell’s lowest tier, ingredients that didn’t taste fresh, small portion sizes, and staff who were less than welcoming. I was handed a bag to pack my own order, wasn’t offered a receipt, and was scolded for not announcing in advance that I wanted to use the rewards app. Salad bowl + chips/dip = $17.70 I’ll be avoiding this location going forward…

My recent visit to Qdoba Mexican Eats constituted an unequivocally five-star culinary and customer service experience that far exceeded conventional expectations for fast-casual dining. From the moment I entered the establishment, I was struck by the immaculate cleanliness of the space and the meticulous presentation of the ingredients, each component arranged with almost architectural precision. The vibrant chromatic contrast of freshly diced pico de gallo, deep-green cilantro, and perfectly ripened avocado created a visually compelling display that signaled both freshness and quality. The aromatic synthesis of grilled adobo chicken, seasoned steak, and warm flour tortillas contributed to an immersive sensory environment that elevated the experience beyond a routine meal.

However, the most distinguished element of my visit was the exceptional professionalism demonstrated by Tyler Powers. Tyler exemplified exemplary customer engagement through articulate communication, refined attentiveness, and an evidently genuine enthusiasm for ensuring guest satisfaction. He provided nuanced explanations of flavor profiles, thoughtfully curated ingredient combinations to optimize textural and gustatory balance, and executed each step of the preparation process with deliberate precision. Even amid a high-volume rush, he maintained composure, efficiency, and an unwaveringly positive demeanor. His capacity to seamlessly integrate hospitality with operational excellence transformed what could have been a standard transaction into a personalized and memorable dining encounter. In totality, the convergence of superior food quality, pristine ambiance, and Tyler’s elevated service standards rendered this experience deserving of unequivocal five-star recognition.

It has been over a year since I been to Qdoba. My last experience wasn’t the best one but I saw one and had a craving. When I tell you, this was the best burrito I’ve had in the past six months for sure!! The meat was wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection. The pickled onions and other veggies sealed the deal. I was hungry for some good food and ended up with a great burrito!!! A big thank you to the staff for that Amazing burrito!!

Austin was so extremely helpful, and MODEST!!! LOL. He didn’t even want to be called out for his amazing service! He told me to put Rose on the review. While she was very pleasant, Austin AND Rose were very professional, pleasant, and helpful. It’s been AWHILE since I’ve had such an amazing experience. Thank you Austin, and Rose.

My favorite QDOBA location. Food is always fresh (and in stock unlike Chipotle lol) and the employees are always polite. Never had a bad experience in over 2 years of going here.

I discovered a piece of glass in my meal and contacted the manager, Anthony, to address the issue. While he offered to either remake the dish or provide a refund, he implied that I was dishonest about the presence of glass in my food and suggested that I had placed it there myself.

Below are photos after spiting the food out.

Perfect. Better than chipotle, cheaper, and free guac. Service was spiffy, respectful, and negotiable. Only real complaint is the atmosphere was a bit chilly for my taste. I perfer an even 70. Overall deserves a 5 Star

Love Qdoba! The staff here was so great!! I got the nacho bowl, which I didn’t know was a thing – at least in the way it was prepared. It was delicious, so much food, so worth the cost! Plus got my favorite chips to go along with it. Will probably be my go to option next time I’m here!

UPDATE: They reached out to me after I posted this review and said they would give me a refund. 3 months later, I still have yet to receive any compensation. I haven’t been back since this review and I will never be returning in the future. Sorry, not sorry.

Hands down this has got to be to worst experience I have ever seen with a restaurant. Things were fine until I got to the counter to place my our order.

——————————————–

The food:

First off, we were wondering why the tortillas were brown but more on that later. The cilantro rice was hard and lacking cilantro. They were out of cheese. The adobo chicken I got was hard and obviously had been sitting out too long. My wife’s steak was also hard and bland. My daughter couldn’t even eat her nachos. We got an extra bag of chips with the meal and when we tried to eat them were greeted with a glorious pallet watering mix of stale chips, soggy chips and some way over salted chips. Know we know why she couldn’t eat her nachos.

The service:

The staff was all quite rude. They gave the impression that they were done with their shift and were mad they had to work. I’m assuming the manager wasn’t on duty because it did look like there were 3 servers and a cook so I’m guessing they were understaffed. When we got to the register, I asked if the chips were warm and was given an attitude. When we asked why the tortillas were brown he said that they were wheat and they were out of flour ones. Something the first server neglected to tell us.

The atmosphere:

The walkway to the counter was clear but it was quite apparent they had not cleaned their work area at all. We were there well after the dinner rush and it was clear the person responsible for cleaning up the place was not schedule to work that night. There was food caked to the counter by the register. Finally, the garbage can was well beyond full. I didn’t look at the other cans but a picture says a thousand words. Judge for yourself.

Conclusion:

We have been patrons of this qudoba for as long as they have been open in this shopping center. I have never been so disgusted as I was tonight with this establishment. When you buy food for the whole family and the bill come out to almost 50 bucks you expect better than this. Thankfully they opened another Qdoba on the west side of ann arbor. We will NEVER be back to this location again. I suggest that the company does a surprise inspection to see what kinda of image this store is portraying before the health department does. This store would get closed down immediately.

I recommend that if you are in the mood for Qdoba to skip this place entirely and head over to zeeb road in front of Meijer. The extra time and gas spent to get there are a small price to pay to avoid this food poisoning establishment.

I ordered a taco salad from grubhub 2 times. The first time it was amazing. The second time, about a month later, I ordered the exact same thing and they FORGOT the salad lettuce. Tried contacting them with no answer, went through Grubhub chat who got someone at the restaurant to answer and they apologized to the Grubhub rep but still insisted they made the order right and that I was wrong. Grubhub comped my account 10 dollars but the restaurant should have acknowledged their screw up.
