Small town hidden gem of a restaurant with a comfortable relaxing atmosphere. I thought I’d try it out as our men’s group is planning to meet there for breakfasts. My server, Jackie [Jaquelyn] there on alternate Sundays) was excellent, friendly, and a good conversationalist. I ordered the “Simply Breakfast” with bacon scrambled eggs wheat toast and hash browns. I asked if she would have the cook add grilled onions to the hash browns and it was worth it! Many places serve hash browns that are limp, way too soggy oily or greasy, but these were great: nice golden brown crunch on the outside and just right inside. The scrambled eggs were fine and the bacon was cooked just right. Jackie said a lot of people enjoy the country fried steak and the burgers. I definitely plan to come back and try the lunch selections. It’s worth the short trip on Hwy 90 from Lake City or Live Oak and even from the Wellborn exit off I-10. Open 8-2 Sundays, 8-3 the other days.

This is a quaint, small town restaurant. Our waitress was kind, and helpful. The food was prepared to order, served southern style….with a smile. Enjoyed the fish, and fried okra! ☺️

Great place to eat. Had Philly steak sandwich, and it was really good, soft bread. The pork sandwich had no seasoning, very bland, with a little bbq sauce. Potato salad outstanding, coleslaw was ok. 4.7 $$ Great service.

Delightful little country restaurant, located in a turn of the century country store and gas station. Of the beaten path maybe 10 minutes out of Lake City off of FL highway 10, it is well worth breaking here if you are traveling across the state.

A great little out of the way but local place. This was a great find. Food delicious; Service was friendly; Atmosphere was charming as advertised. My first visit. I’ll be back to try lunch or dinner soon. I highly recommend it.

The staff was very rude and unprofessional trying to tell me how to treat my daughter when she is not minding telling me that I need to leave the restaurant. The restaurant is filthy trash on the floor I would not eat there ever again what a trashy place.

Everything was very good. Prices are a little high. I also got some banana pudding in this tiny cup that cost almost $3 and it wasn’t even a full cup. The staff is very nice and polite.

Stop by while passing through for the daily special of Shrimp and Grits and it was the best thing I’ve ever eaten! They had a Cajun twist on the Shrimp and grits that included andouille sausage, bacon, corn, chives, and the best sauce ever! Also, the lady working there is literally the sweetest! As soon as you walk in you get a warm greeting and she is just so friendly and helpful. I had my hyper toddler with me so she let me go sit in my car and brought my to go order out to me which she did really quickly! Honestly the only regret you’ll have after going there is waiting so long to do so! Can’t wait to go back and try their Swamp fries!
