Each plate we serve is more than a meal — it’s a story of our ancestors, African unity, women producers and farmers, flavors passed down and reimagined. I have been meaning to try this stall in the back of the giant farmers market and finally made it happen. I got so many things to try: goat stew with joloff rice, chicken wings in tomato sauce, suya, egusi stew and fried plantain . Everything was incredible! I would absolutely order everything again, but now I want to try all the other dishes! Meat is super super tender and deeply flavorful, the rice has the perfect texture. The sweetest lady ever is serving up absolute deliciousness. I can’t wait to go back!

Voila Afrique did not disappoint! I ordered the pounded yam with oxtail and goat soup, and it was packed with rich flavor and the perfect amount of spice. My mom had the chicken with tomato stew and jollof rice, and she loved every bite. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and authentic. We both truly enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back!

Price went up 3 bucks due to tariffs, but doesnt matter (to me at least). Food is very delicious and made with love. You enter the market and make a beeline to the left. Theres no seating, but this is a farmer’s market; not a food court or restaurant. I got the fufu combo which is fufu, a sauce, and protein. If you care to know what I really got- I ordered plantain fufu, eggusi, and oxtail. Also got a jollof taster (which is in an 8oz container) for $3 on the side. It was so tasty. Everything rang up to about 21 something. I got 3 meals out of it; lunch and dinner (with help from my sister) The portions are good. Dont have any pics of the food cause i was busy chowing down ‍↕️

i normally don’t leave reviews, but i absolutely had to for this place. everything was amazing from start to finish. we were honestly lost for words. i had the jollof rice with salmon and it was cooked perfectly, so flavorful and fresh. my mom had the fufu with egusi and fish and loved it just as much. on top of that, the owner was incredibly kind and even gave us some donuts, which were really good. amazing food, amazing service, and such a welcoming atmosphere. we’ll definitely be back

I ordered the egusi with beef and pounded yam. It is the first time I tried egusi. I have been so curious about fufu & egusi my whole life because I’ve been seeing it all over my tiktok. I ordered in Uber and i was choosing between 2 restaurants but I’m so glad I bought here cause their egusi is so so so good!!! Very tasty!! Worth the money!! I’m so amazed.

Delicious and affordable! The place is takeout-only so you’ll need to find seating elsewhere. Flavors were intense. The fufu slid smoothly on the tongue and tasted so clearly of cassava. The egusi was infused with fish and extra umami (crayfish powder?)—I want to eat this regularly! And the jollof rice had the classic aromatic tomato base, but the version here had a good deal more oil for richness. Such a lovely meal.

I want to start by saying I love Fufu with okra stew. It’s one of my favorite food and it’s alsc my comfort food. The last place I had a wonderful meal of Fufu with okra stew was in massachusetts. I can now sav that experience has been replaced with Voila Afrique. This was the best Fufu I had in a long time and the service was amazing. Mother and daughter duo, Chef kiss. Very friendly, smiley and welcoming, the best combinations for a restaurant. I know the rest of their food will be just as amazing. I can’t wait to try more dishes.

Food was incredible! Portions, price and FLAVOR are definitely worth every penny.

But the amazing experience doesn’t just stop at the food.

If you ever get the chance to stop by and order some food from Voila Afrique — you won’t regret it.

Not only could I go on and on about the food, but Margaret and Timithina made the whole experience so great. Margaret walked me through the menu and encouraged me to ask any questions (this was my first time, but certainly not my last) about any of the items on the menu.

It didn’t even feel like I was ordering food. Chatting with Margaret felt like I was being “invited for a meal.”

I’m already looking forward to my next visit!!

Fav items:
– Egusi Soup w/ goat
– Fufu
– Oxtail

Wait Time: 15 – 20 minutes (I also ordered a lot of food, so this was exceptional time.)

First time visiting Afrique, it did not disappoint. I ordered salmon, jollof rice and received plantain fries on the side. Salmon was cooked to perfection (which I do not like chewy salmon). My first time having jollof rice and it was tasty with the right amount of spice…next time I will ask for more tomato stew. I believe the fries were air fried? Which were great, not greasy at all. Portion is reasonable size. Will definitely visit again!
