Went to BbQ Event at park. Bought from trailer setup. $15 overcooked “jerk” chicken was worste I’ve ever had, hands down! Dry, and almost no seasoning! Tasted no jerk flavor, at all. Only pepper. Plus, pretty sure the beans are canned. Tastes EXACTLY like Bushes baked beans….. in a can. Extremely disappointed!

Had Rodney’s at Blues and BBQ in North Liberty. Absolutely delicious and great amount of food. Had Jerk Chicken, rice and Beans, steamed Green beans amd Loaded Fries!! Highly recommended!!!

We just moved here from a very Caribbean neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY where jerk chicken is everywhere. I can say that this is quite authentic. The heat level is dialed down as you don’t really taste the scotch bonnet pepper. But the spice and grilled flavor is on point. The line is a bit slow sometimes but it’s worth it. They give you a huge full thigh + leg of chicken and I also like the cabbage.

Tasted Southern, not Jamaican. Jamaican food is very spicy. This food wasn’t spicy at at. The meat was cooked perfectly and the greens were super good. The rice was really dry though. I’ve had better and I’ve had worse, but it was an overall decent meal.

Got a Thanksgiving turkey from Rodney. 15 pound smoked Jamaican jerk turkey for $45?!?! Felt like I was getting away with murder. It was amazing, perfectly done, so juicy. His every day food is no different, not always open so if you see those truck windows open stop on by and check it out!

Mr.Rodney has the best jerk chicken ever. Moist with excellent flavor. His BBQ his also to die for. Excellent choice of side dishes to go with your order. I highly recommend everyone try his food!
