This is our very special MEMBERS ONLY place in the woods. It is quiet, it is private, it doesn’t cater to vegetarians (although they will make sure there is something to eat!) and it doesn’t cater to kids (it’s creative and not welcoming to tablets at the table!). Yes, we have seen kids, they sit eat and take in the serenity OR they fuss about the lovely presentation on the plate. The website clearly says it is for members, however guests at the American Club are invited. Kohler is a world class destination golf resort, design experience, shopping, cultural, art and outdoor adventure. The Kohler Brand is a unique statement of preservation, philanthropy and community—yes, people live here. We are their welcome Guests.

We stopped here as it popped up on google search when we were traveling through and after reading all the reviews about how great this place is we were so excited to try it! It apparently is for members only…we walked into the cute little restaurant and we immediately felt like outsiders….we weren’t aware the restaurant was for members only and the ladies at the host desk didn’t seem too thrilled we were there. We were greeted with ‘didn’t you see all the members only signs’… It should state clearly online that this place is for members only because nobody would know that unless you arrive at the place and see all the members only signs….its too bad because my parents probably would have bought the membership but the ladies weren’t super friendly it is a beautiful place though

Based on our experience I am giving this establishment 5 stars all the way. Lisa our server was so nice and patient with since we can’t make up our mind. I end up having the elk sandwich and it’s outstanding. My wife had tenderloin steak and she finished it. Delicious!

A members only club that with a great rustic feel but at the same time still have amazing food. Had the smoked pheasant Ruben, which was amazing! Only had lunch here during the visit, but would love to experience dinner here sometime as well.

Wonderful, unique place to dine. Is for members only. Food was incredible, enjoyed the crisp duck, duck barley soup, mixed green salad. Menu changes. The lodge is rustic and charming, the staff very attentive, view of woods, birds, other wildlife from our table by window an added treat.

Awesome! The soups are to die for. Rest of the food is excellent as well. Nice quaint little restaurant that is nestled back in the woods. Atmosphere is neat. Would highly recommend.
