Decent mexican food for the east coast. Very popular with the locals but as I west coast guy I’ll tell you it doesn’t measure up the west coast mexican food. All that being said it was a great mom and pop diner with delicious breakfast food. Id give it 3.5 stars if I could . They had this amazing hot chocolate for my mom. The breakfast burrito southwest was good not great. The beef fajitas were good. The ambiance is dark mom and pop hole in the wall which is part of the charm. The staff is amazing. The pancakes and waffles looked very good. Next time, I’ll get those in stead of the mexican food.

Our server Linda was attentive, kind and very efficient. The food was delicious and plenty. You can also share with others and still have enough to eat. Will definitely be a returning patron!

We stopped in for breakfast and couldn’t have been happier at finding this spot. The waitress was incredibly nice and friendly. The food was amazing (best chilaquiles omelette ever), great care is put into their food and it shows. Ambiance is cozy and nice.

Would highly recommend this spot. Friendly staff, delicious food delivered with a smile. We ordered a Mexican burrito and Nutella pancakes. Both were out of this world. They looked like a work of art. Parking was a little difficult, but if you’re in the area I would for sure stop by. I know we’ll be back

Simply amazing. A diamond in the rough. Staff was fantastic and the food was spectacular. Try anything and everything. I live in Middletown and places in my area should come here and take some notes.

Had the Chilaquiles Omlet with green sauce and it was SO good! Nice atmosphere. Very nice host and waitress. Busy place. Nice decor. Very clean bathroom. Parking is on the street.

They won’t seat you until your entire group is there.

*UPDATED* This restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. Parking is as expected in Hartford. Ended up parking across the street in a no parking section (nothing happened). It’s the first floor of a home that’s been converted into a restaurant. The food was ok, it honestly looks 10x than it actually is. The flavor is all in the toppings and it felt like our food was underseasoned. But it looked beautiful on my plate. The menu was huge so we were a bit indecisive on what to get. The French toast was delicious, I wish I would have stuck with that. The waitress was very nice but she forgot to put in an order we requested. We ended up sharing a plate and by the time the food arrived we had filled up. We didn’t ask for anything but it would have been nice to not charge us. The fajita omelet was ok, kind of bland, I poured everything on top to add flavor. The mango dragonfruit lemonade and the French toast were the highlights, very tasty. I would not return to this restaurant.

Responding to the owner: No hate. This was my experience in your restaurant and I left an honest review. We did leave out the fact that the waitress cursed when she walked up but we felt that was part of the charm of the place. Why did we include both pictures? Because we did eventually get our second plate and we thought the plating was amazing. Was it a misunderstanding? Probably. We didn’t feel the need to get a manager involved and get the waitress in trouble. I feel she should feel empowered enough to take care of the issue on her own. In response to some claims on your part. The waitress did visit us but “several” is a bit misleading, she came by just enough, she didn’t even deliver the food I think. And by your own admission it was not busy as usual, so where was she? Also the food did not come in six minutes, I’ve included some screenshots with timestamps. It shows when we got our food. There was at least a 10 minute gap in between our first plate and the plate that was forgotten. We shared my plate and by the time the food came my partner was full. As a diner I’m not calling the manager for every little mistake. The mistakes are part of the experience, and my review is supposed to give you insight on how to do better. Why wouldn’t we return and still said we left happy? Because it wasn’t all bad but the food simply was just ok and I’ve had better.
