The bakery employees “said” they left me messages about not being able to put a cheetah print pattern on my cake, however I received no calls or voicemails relaying that. So when I went to pick up my cake I was very disappointed and on top of that the cake was not even level, it was lopsided. Not happy in the slightest.

I order a cake for a very special person who has stolen my heart. It was a half sheet cake decorated in red balloons. It was fabulous. Thank you for making it so special. It put a big smile on his face. Plus I got a kiss and many hugs. Great place to shop.

Giant Eagle Bakery is included within Giant Eagle Grocery in the majority of stores. They produce baked bread, sweet, and other on order cakes, cookies, and sweets for larger families and groups.
I find their baked breads to be excellent. They taste good, they are fresh, and consistency is very good. They have a fairly short self life because of no preservatives. Please be prepared to freeze.
In my opinion, thier sweets bakery suffer. First, much of the sweets are not manufactured. The product made on site doesn’t compare with local and regional (such as Oakmont) bakeries.

Do not order a cake from giant eagle bakery at this poland location if you have any specific requests. I ordered a cake for my moms birthday, walked in and spoke to the young man, repeated my order “6 Roses, ALL YELLOW with multi colored flowers and decorations around the border. ” The cake I received was ALL multi colored roses with no flowers. Good job giant eagle and thanks for listening. We make special requests for a reason and not so you, giant eagle, can do whatever you want . My mom loves yellow roses and I asked for all the roses to be yellow. Repeated the order to the man writing down the instructions, and he repeated it back to me. I thought the cake would be easy, apparently not!
