Social Profile:

One of Maple Plain’s fine eating establishments, Blackwater serves as both a coffee shop and a diner. Our breakfast menu runs all day and we have a wide selection of lunch and dinner items. To our customers we offer breakfast foods, baked goods, sandwiches, wraps, kid’s meals, soups, salads, shakes, malts, smoothies, ice cream, beer, and wine. Coffee is available all day. Our building offers ample seating for gatherings, meal times, and coffee dates. When winter comes, take one of our leather chairs by the fireplace and take a few minutes to warm up, perhaps with a hot drink! For the hard worker, we also provide free Wifi and a bottomless coffee deal — whatever you need to help you get through your workload.

For a coffee shop this far out from the metro, it’s not bad. Flavor shots and oat milk substitutes are a $1 ea. The atmosphere is clean. The blueberry muffin was ok but not special.

Awesome place to stop by for lunch and get some work done between meetings. The sandwich was tasty, a great combination of flavors! I loved the blue cheese and the quality of the meat. They also use Monin syrups, which are my favorite.

My only complaint is that the oven/toaster smell is a bit overwhelming in the dining area. Not sure why, especially with a huge vent above the appliance. Still, a great spot to have lunch!

Food was very good, the workers were very nice, and the atmosphere is adorable with the yellow booths. There was a very awkward silence in there though so I feel like we had to be very quiet? I wish they would play music. I don’t know, either way, we enjoyed our food, our coffee, and our experience here today. Will definitely be coming back again!

glad I finally stopped today! I drive by at least once a week and today was the day.

I got an iced maple cinnamon cream chai latte (no whip) and the turkey vermonter to go

both items were 10/10!

lots of people milling about, chatting, doing homework, reading etc.. Plenty of seating: mostly table/chairs with a few soft seating options.

today might have been the first but I will be back!

We are locals and order frequently from here. The food and drinks are good but the order accuracy for pickup or delivery is abysmal. I usually try to describe the chosen options in the comments field or the breakfast sandwiches are frequently incorrect. Not sure what the issue is (their website?) but I wish they would figure it out. It’s frustrating.

Stopped by this place on a whim to get some coffee and maybe some work done. Best decision. This place is comfortable, work friendly, amazing food and coffee drinks (VERY budget friendly) Very nice, quick service. Strong WiFi and lots of places to sit, gather, or work alone.

Blackwater makes decent coffee and i love the name of the place. Some of the beverages are way too sugary/milky for me and you get zero coffee flavor. I usually go with drip or black cold brew which are good just not strong enough for me. Blackwater is a good option if you dont want the giant chains.

Just moved to the area and this place was recommmeded to me. Drove by so many times and didn’t realize it was here. Upon walking in you order at the counter and then wait. However I did not really have to wait on this Sunday morning. Staff were fast and friendly. My caramel latte is on-point. And although the croissant is a “Midwest style” croissant (more like a roll), my sausage, egg and cheese croissant was awesome. So good!

One star off because I sat in the back in the inviting comfy looking area by the fireplace and the 2 tables between the chairs both need a good scrubbing. They are both sticky and have crumbs. Me thinks it’s not from being open a few hours today.

But what’s important passes the taste tests! Great food and cozy atmosphere. I will make this a regular stop!

What a cute little spot! I got an iced chai and a margarita flatbread, and they were delicious! The hours are limited right now, but their menu has lots of interesting things I’d love to try. The seating area is so darling and fall themed currently. Definitely will stop again to try other foods!
