From the start, the booth placement was strange — directly beside the area where staff input orders. The atmosphere felt outdated, and even the condiments on the table looked old. My glass of water arrived discolored, in a cracked cup that leaked, which immediately raised concerns.
Our server was friendly at first but disappeared for over 15 minutes after dropping off our drinks. When our appetizer, the crab pretzel, arrived, things went downhill fast. The topping tasted like an overly sweet mayonnaise mixture with crab that seemed thawed in water — unpleasant and inedible.
We hoped the entrées would be better, but sadly they weren’t. My Cajun chicken was overcooked, poorly seasoned, and served with unseasoned buttery rice, mushy broccoli, and a tomato topped with what tasted like vinegar. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and extremely salty. The Reuben was just as disappointing — burnt yet soggy bread and questionable meat. The only edible item on either plate was the fries.
To make matters worse, flies were swarming around and landing on our food. We notified our waitress, who apologized but didn’t offer a solution or seem genuinely concerned. We couldn’t eat the meals due to both the quality and the flies, yet we were still charged in full without any attempt to make things right.
As soon as we left, we both felt sick. For the quality (or lack of it), the experience, and the fact that we couldn’t eat anything, the prices were shockingly high. Paying that much for food we physically could not eat — while flies landed on it — was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
This restaurant needs serious improvements — from cleanliness and food quality to customer care. Sadly, I cannot recommend dining here.
The food was so delicious and the portions are enormous! I had blackened tilapia, broccoli, and lemon basmati rice. SO good! My wife had the mussels special and a side salad; the huge oval platter was overflowing with mussels, and she loved them.
I can’t emphasize enough how you really must try Fisherman’s Catch!

Ok. Force yourself to get over the stigma of eating dinner at the bowling alley! Nothing against bowling (I was in a league a time or two in my life). But this restaurant should be in your place to try even WITHOUT bowling. Plenty of parking, handicapped accessible, and I barely heard the crash of bowling pins.
Decor was nice, service was very fast and extremely friendly (thank you Miss Dee!), and the meals my wife and I had were VERY good. And the portions were LARGE.
We started off with Clams Casino. 6 to the plate, good size clams, and they were delicious.
My wife had fried butterfly shrimp with fries and broccoli. The worst thing I can say is that the fries were good. But the shrimp was extremely good, and the broccoli was steamed to perfection… tender, yet enough bite to not fall apart on your fork.
I had a side salad. It was ok. Needed to be spun dry as it was very watery. The balsamic dressing needed salt. Bur my main entrée was incredible. And a HUGE portion. I had blackened tilapia with broccoli. Two huge pieces of tilapia. Seriously, the fish lasted me 3 meals (and I’m a BIG eater). My only disappointment was that there wasn’t any kind of rice in the menu, and that seems like the perfect accompaniment to broiled/pan-fried fish. White, brown, pilaf, fried with veggies… some kind of rice is a needed addition to the menu.
So to sum it up: WHOLE HEARTEDLY RECOMMEND! Try this place. Before ordering for the first time, I initially said to myself that I can’t imagine eating meats/ribs here or Italian food as there are plenty of other great Harford County restaurants in that cuisine to choose from. But after seeing the quality and portion sizes with the seafood, I’m eager to go back and try ribs and veal/chicken parm!
My husband and I ordered crab cake and scallops and steak and crab cake with an appetizer of crab dip. I love crab cakes and expected a full lump cake. The cake must have been processed crab. No lumps only tiny pieces of meat with a lot of filler. The scallops were decent and so was the steak. Interestingly, the dip had large hunks of crab meat.
Our server Katie was attentive and when she saw our uneaten crab cake she asked if we wanted a box.
It was my birthday, so very disappointed.
It was appalling. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a manager/owner try to make excuses like that. It had to be asked to be taken off the bill because it was never offered. Guess lesson learned. Don’t ever go there close to closing time and no burgers unless you order them rare!
Our waitress was friendly and the place was clean and busy.
The menu is extensive I would come back to try again! See you next time!
