We visited Oak Steakhouse Charlotte for Queen’s Feast and had excellent service — our waiter was attentive and gave great recommendations. The wedge salad and steaks were delicious.
The Meatballs Au Poivre with parmesan risotto was disappointing because parts were warm and parts were cold. For dessert, the banana blondie was dry and cold; I wish I had chosen the raspberry cheesecake. The chocolate torte, however, was very good.
Great service and atmosphere, but some dishes missed the mark.

We went here to celebrate a birthday. We enjoyed an appetizer and beet salad. Being a steak house, we ordered steaks. Both steaks were under seasoned and under cooked. Service was subpar at best, at this price point we had expectations that service and quality would be high, that was not delivered. We were seated in front of a large window that was a view of a veterinary office. To say we were dissapointed is an understatement, we immediately made plans for another restaurant hoping to have a better experience. Don’t think we will be back. I am sure many folks have had better dinners here, unfortunately that was not our experience.

The highlight of the night was the steak tartare, which they prepared tableside. It was perfectly seasoned and incredibly fresh—watching the process really added to the experience. For the main, the steak frites was executed beautifully; the steak was tender and topped with a rich, velvety butter that paired perfectly with the crispy, parmesan-dusted fries. My table also shared several sides, and you can’t go wrong with any of them. The Brussels sprouts had a great char and tang from the pickled onions, the mac and cheese was decadently bubbly and golden, and the mashed potatoes were exquisite. If you’re looking for a top-tier steakhouse experience in the Queen City with great service and an even better menu, this is it. I’ll definitely be back!

An Exceptional Anniversary Experience at Oak Steakhouse
We had an amazing experience celebrating our anniversary at Oak Steakhouse — it truly exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our evening. Kevin, the manager, went above and beyond by visiting our table several times and even sharing fun facts from the year we got married — such a thoughtful touch!
The food was outstanding — perfectly cooked steaks, delicious Brussels sprouts, and flavorful potatoes. The cocktails were top-notch as well; the smoked Old Fashioned was one of the best I’ve ever had. We finished the evening with a decadent chocolate tart and French press coffee — the perfect ending to a perfect meal.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Tables were nicely spaced, the relaxing jazz music added to the ambiance, and while the restaurant had a lively energy, it was still easy to hold a conversation without feeling crowded.
Having dined at numerous fine dining restaurants in Charlotte, Oak Steakhouse has quickly become our favorite after just one visit.

Absolutely delicious and amazing food! The service was exceptional as well! Beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. We had the lobster bites, steak tartare (prepared tabelside), wedge salad (best I’ve ever had), filet mignon – medium rare cooked perfectly, grilled lobster tail, and apple creme brulee. Highly recommend!

We had reservations but ended up arriving a bit early — no problem at all, as we were seated right away. We were celebrating a special occasion, and the team went above and beyond by placing a thoughtful, hand-signed card at our table. That small touch really set the tone for the evening.

Enjoyed dinner. Service was great. The manager Ken went around to make sure everyone was satisfied and took a moment to chat with my group. The s’mores dessert was delicious. Chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows are home made and I could taste the difference than store bought. Burned my marshmallow and my smore was still good! I loved the vibes in the restaurant. Can’t wait to go back on a date this time.

We got a last minute reservation at this place. Our server Debbie was absolutely amazing and very attentive (we were even served a free appetizer which was a lovely surprise). The food was good but I felt like the cocktails didn’t match the “aura” of the place.. I had a Manhattan and an Old Fashioned, but neither were very memorable…. Our total came close to $300 including tip.

This past week i celebrated my birthday in charlotte. Oak steakhouse was my birthday dinner for two, i couldn’t have picked a better place. The atmosphere for one was chill and allowed you to carry good conversation and vibes. You wouldn’t even realize there was others sitting next to you. But beside the food being amazing i have to give PRAISE to our server APRIL, chefs kiss , top notch service, the conversation she gave and the delivery of time she gave us, has me expecting that services everywhere i go. She was beyond amazing. I really want to thank oak steakhouse for the birthday card and gift you guys top notch service, my new favorite steakhouse
