Yesterday e had a lovely meal at the Rose of India. The service was great, and the food was delicious. The waiter serving us was polite and attentive. They also catered well for my wife’s allergies. Not all Indian restaurants are as careful when it comes to allergies. It’s nice that the Rose of India was careful regarding allergies.
Also, plenty of vegan options available. The waiter knew exactly what I could have as a vegan.
Even though the restaurant was full, we didn’t have to wait too long for our food.
I would recommend booking a table if you’re planning to dine here on a Saturday evening. All the tables were full when we were here on a Saturday night.

First time in this restaurant, visit was chosen for the good reviews seen here.

I was not disappointed the food was very good, very attentive staff, very clean everywhere, will definitely be coming back next time in Chelmsford.

Very reasonable price given the quality of the food served.

Highly recommended A+++

We had a fantastic experience at this Indian restaurant. Solid food from a solid company truly made for a solid night. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely 5 ⭐ full of flavor and beautifully prepared. We’ll definitely be returning.

Excellent Indian Restaurant in Chelmsford. Menu choice was great. Each dish was delicious. Service very good. The waiter took his time to explain how the dishes were freshly made including the Mango chutney that accompanied the Poppadoms. Good wine and beer choices too. As always we’d ordered too much and were kindly offered the remaining food to be placed into containers to take away. I would recommend this restaurant.

Food and service was fantastic. The staff were very welcoming and attentive.

The manger took time out to understand what type of flavours and spice we were looking for to have in our dishes and got it perfect.

We had our staff Christmas do here so were in a large group. The food was delicious, reasonably priced and good portions. We did feel a little rushed at times and had the table for a good two hours. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend this for small and large groups alike.

Absolutely love the food here. Very good quality. If you like heat maybe go slightly hotter than you would otherwise do. But that is not a criticism. The kitchen will cook to what you ask for. This is a gem of a restaurant.

I recently visited Rose of India with my colleagues. When they found out it was my colleague’s birthday, they surprised us with a dessert along with a candle, which was such a thoughtful and kind gesture. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and this small surprise from one of their staff named Nayem, made our visit even more special. Really appreciated their hospitality. Highly recommended!

A Gem in Chelmsford.

My wife and I recently moved to Chelmsford and, being of South Asian descent, we’ve been on the lookout for somewhere that could offer us those familiar, comforting flavours of home. We’re so glad we discovered Rose of India – it absolutely delivered.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the manager, Jim, who was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Despite the restaurant being really busy, the customer service was flawless – everyone around us seemed well looked after and genuinely happy.

Now, onto the food – it was delicious. Flavourful, freshly made, and most importantly, customisable. I like my food with a good kick of spice, and they were more than happy to tailor the heat level to suit my taste. It’s rare to find a place that can balance authentic flavour with that level of flexibility.

This definitely won’t be our last visit – we’ve found our go-to spot in Chelmsford, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Highly recommend!

My Wife & I and Children have been eating here for years, takeaway every Friday and also occasionally eat in the restaurant, the food & the staff are second to none & on a Friday evening as we waiting for our order it’s like a Friday night curry club, the same people week in week out and a glass of cobra and a chat it really is a special place, staff are always up for a chat even though they are busy all the time! It just goes to show how good the food is on repeat customers every week that tells you all about a place. Jim and his brother and staff are amazing, unlike the team they support Man Utd . Keep up the good work boys, the food is exceptional and atmosphere is a special place.
