This place has the most authentic Indian food. I definitely think in the Topeka area. The lamb was tender and tasty. The garlic bread was fantastic. The menu is super impressive with so many items to choose from.

So yummy! Best Indian food I’ve had in Topeka and I made sure to let the chef know exactly that when we ate there. I’ve been to 4 different Indian cuisine locations here in Topeka and by far this taste the best (in my opinion). Try it for yourself!

I love the lamb curry this place serves! I don’t eat here as often as I’d like, but unusually every couple of months. The food is vibrant and fresh, plenty of spice but balanced. Very clean, and the staff is very attentive. The food comes quickly after your order and it’s always hot or cold, depending on what the dish is supposed to be.
Absolutely a must try place!

I was hesitant to try Indian food because I’d always heard it was spicy, but this place completely changed my mind. The staff was so kind, patient, and knowledgeable — they helped me choose the perfect dish based on what I like. You can select your own spice level, and they never made me feel awkward for not knowing what to order.
Everything felt like an experience, from the food and music to the beautiful dishes. The quiet, cozy atmosphere made it perfect for date night. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying something new!

This place used to be a lot better. It seems since the younger folks took it over it has gone downhill. My wife and I chose the Bistro as our destination for dining out for many years if we were in Topeka. Just recently we stopped by for a meal. One of the appetizers we enjoy is the samosa chaat which ALWAYS came out with a lovely samosa covered with garbanzo beans, diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro and tiny curry leaves with yogurt drizzled on top. The crowning glory was your beautiful sweet and savory toppings of tamarind and a crunchy topping that appeared to be khata meetha which had a copious amount of crunchy sev and lightly garnished with black salt. Absolutely wonderful every time we ordered it
The last time we were there it was really devoid of the fresh veggies, especially cilantro and the crunchy toppings were completely missing. When I inquired about it I was told they never put the sev on top, because a lot of customers don’t like it. Since then we decided to stay away and save our 60 dollars and dine at home, because the Bistro used to be a nice place for a memorable meal. I have included a picture of a home made samosa chaat which closely approximates what you USED to serve and what we truly miss. Please bring back the magic.

This is it. The best Indian restaurant between Tulsa and Omaha. As far as vegetarian options go the paneer is so soft and tastes home made the naan and rice always hot and fragrant the service homely and very very kind I have not nor believe there is a more authentic and flavorful Indian restaurant. They even make dishes mild for week baby stomachs like my own. We have driven 2 and a half hours out of our way just to make it here in the middle of a snow storm. If you don’t like Indian food I promise give this a try, if Indian food upsets your stomach come here and give it a go even my weak stomach that can’t do cardamom and cummin loves this place. Even the rice is so fragrant and wonderful. Please if you live within driving range come, try and see the best Indian Kansas has to offer.

I have loved this Indian Restaurant for 20 years – back when the owners Globe Indian in downtown Topeka. I’d have lunch there often – amazing buffet and tell all my friends. Now they have relocated to my neighborhood so they are close by and I am thrilled. New name, New venue and same great food and service. Homemade Indian Food – the best!!

Please stop putting cinnamon bark and other whole spices and leave them in the dish! I personally can’t pay for a dentist visit if I break my teeth in your food.
The food itself is delicious but the fact that you can’t use a bag and throw away the spices after they leave the taste in is a deal breaker for me. I know traditional foods have whole spices but not 1-2 inches of cinnamon bark for God’s sake! Not when dentists are so expensive in this country.
