Native American-themed fine-dining restaurant inside Audie’s with taxidermy, steaks & wine.

Best restaurant in Mackinaw City for fine dining.
Upscale and intimate, with lowered lights, linen tablecloths, and an exclusive menu featuring better-cut meats, pasta and fish dinners.
I highly recommend the stuffed white fish, which comes with a choice of potato and vegetables. Also be sure to ask for the soup of the day – I had the cream of mushroom soup on a Wednesday-so good! (I’m told the clam chowder on Fridays is even better).
The atmosphere is charming, and feels somewhat rustic with multiple native-american tools and weapons on display, as well as a variety of animal trophies (trigger warning for the highly sensitive).
Friendly service and a knowledgeable staff about the local area.
Free street parking. You’ll need to access this part of restaurant through Audie’s or the lounge on either side.
Prices are competitive with upscale restaurants found in bigger cities, but portions are generous and you get what you pay for.

Honestly, I was skeptical but ultimately blown out of the water!! The service was amazing! We had Joe as our server who just came back for the season and was witty and fun, very knowledgeable, and listened to everything and prompt! The food was absolutely amazing!! I personally had the Rack of Lamb, and it was so good it was euphoric! People in our group had the prime rib, and though it was some of the best they have had! I think this place is a must here in Mackinac City!!

We went to the Chippewa Room for our 25th wedding anniversary. I ordered New York strip with lyonaise potatoes, and flaming peach melba for dessert. Everything was fantastic. We were waited on by a gentleman named Joe. He was genuinely happy to be there. Very talented waiter. That’s not an overstatement.

I have always had great appetizers or dinner here.. Oysters Rockefeller are the best around. Don’t forget about the chocolate martini..

We came here for a birthday dinner with a group of 6. Upon arrival we found it to be very dark and oddly quiet. We felt we had to whisper because it was such an oddly quiet vibe in there. We waited at least 10 minutes after being seated for our server to come to our table to take drink orders. We also were ready to order appetizers by that time. Four of us ordered soups for an appetizer. Our appetizers came out before our drinks did… Not one of us enjoyed our soups. The clam chowder was so thickened with flour it was like glue, the French onion soup was drowning in black pepper which is odd because that’s not typical for a French onion. We did not eat the soups and our server did not even ask us if there was an issue with them when she came to clear them. We then waited at least half an hour if not longer for the main courses. Two of us received steaks that were obviously rotten or freezer burned, they tasted very off and almost all of our foods were luke warm to cold. The two of us who received the bad steaks didn’t eat them other than our couple initial tasting bites and only ate the veg off our plates because we were hungry. Our server never came back to check in on us until she came to clear plates. She did finally ask if everything was ok with the steaks and we told her no. They have us 50% off, which is crazy for having two full meals and two appetizers which we did not eat. I will say, the other 4 members of our party had the lobster, the prime rib special and the seafood pasta and they enjoyed all of those! I did not want to write this review and instead opted to email the restaurant to let them know if our poor experience hoping they would make it right. They didn’t even bother to respond to me. I do think we maybe had an off meal, on an off night because we went there based off of the rave reviews! But that was unfortunately not our experience and I’m disappointed that they chose not to make it right with us. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone given our experience.

This place checks all the boxes! Great food, Exceptional service, great selection of drinks. very reasonable prices, very clean and perfectly located to nearby attractions, like Fort Michilimackinac, ferry dock, area shops and of course, all of the amazing fudge stores!
My wife and I have been here many times and we are never disappointed in any of the above.
They have a great menu with a lot of options and they do some chef spectials that are incredible. we tried a variety of items and are always pleased. It definitely has a home cooked meal vibe. If you visit, I strongly suggest the Whitefish, BBQ Ribs or if still available, the Bananas Foster! (Prepared tableside.)
One of my favorite stops in Mackinaw City!

It’s off the main path a little bit but we are SO happy we went! The food was AMAZING. We had the oysters Rockefeller, onion soup, chicken Philadelphia and steak. The garlic mashed potatoes were to die for! They even did table-side banana’s foster which was fun to watch.
The inside is unique – lots of taxidermy so be prepared if you’re not into that. The prices were very reasonable too for the quality of the meal. We will recommend this to everyone and would love to be back!

My wife and I came in over the weekend for our wedding anniversary, and we loved every moment. Kate is an icon, running the door like a marine sergeant. We loved her! My filet was cooked perfectly, and the prime rib was amazing! But if you go there for one thing and one thing only, get the crab cakes. They are DELICIOUS! We loved them so much we got them again the next day when we dined on the family room side. Audie’s and Chippewa Room will definitely be staples in our future visits!

Fun and classic place. Whitefish and grilled walleye were fantastic. Stuffed whitefish is provided with imitation crab meat. Recommend the grilled classic whitefishes instead. The French onion soup was awesome without being too salty. Highly recommend this place!

We went here for a work dinner. The service was quick and our server was pleasant and answered every question we had. The food was amazing! I got the Hunters Elk and they even accommodated that I can’t eat mushrooms. We had the flaming peach Melba for dessert, they made it right beside the table and it also tasted great! It was a great and wonderful experience.
