Arrived at Cornbread Bae at 12:57 p.m., with the establishment opening at 1:00 p.m. We ordered the Risk It All and Brisket Bae plates along with a strawberry lemonade and a pineapple lemonade. The total came to $96. After a 32-minute wait, the food arrived lukewarm.
The brisket was on the tougher side and mostly fat, while the turkey was moist and well-seasoned. The wings were just okay—very heavily seasoned with lemon pepper, which some people may like. The oxtails were thin but well-seasoned and tender.
As for the sides, the yams were dry and little of the gooey syrup you’d expect from traditional candied yams. The macaroni and cheese was a cream not cheese consistency slightly salty, with a lots of garlic-salt. The greens and yellow rice were average—nothing memorable.
Unfortunately, the cornbread, which you’d expect to be the highlight, tasted like a dressed-up Jiffy mix. It was fine, but far from a highlight considering it is the namesake. The lemonades were decent in flavor, but not mixed, there were lots of sugar grains coming up through the straw. Checkout the pictures (sandwich not included in the photos)does it look like $96 to you???
Overall, this was a disappointing experience. I’d rate it a 4 out of 10 and wouldn’t revisit.

Unfortunately the food was wayyy overpriced in comparison to the quality. The oxtails were dry and tough, cabbage was brown with a sugary taste then a BAM of hot Cajun Spices, almost like cayenne pepper sprinkle. Service was very kind and attentive. However for a simple “sampling” which was what I was looking for, just a tasting of a meat and vegetable cost me over $30. They ran out of or had no forks and other items such as napkins were unavailable. Wow! I learned my lesson. Tipping ahead of time was definitely a no go as well. I would have complained straight to management, but by the time I circled back? They were closed of course.
Money down the drain!

Stumbled across this GEM and we’ve been hooked every since. The first order I placed was for my mother, the pickiest out the bunch lol. After she ate with no complaints, I took another (long) drive before they closed to place an order for myself. Although they were closed by the time I arrived, the owner still accommodated my needs and I left with a tasty very fulfilling meal! The service is phenomenal..everything we’ve had from food to drinks are divine. This is their take on pot pie with Oxtail, Mac and Cheese, and Yams.. Delicious is an understatement

Today was my first time trying Cornbread Bae after seeing them on IG and FB. I tried the Side Bae with oxtail and brisket and had greens and yams for the side along with cornbread. Also had the blueberry bliss and pineapple sweetheart. Best thing on the plate was the greens. Then the oxtails although they wasnt as tender as I would have liked. The brisket was really tough and had more fat than meat on the pieces I was given. The yams needed more sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. The drinks just tasted like regular lemonade, didnt taste a hint of blueberry or pineapple. And I think you all should mix that sugar up a little bit better. Both my drinks had a lot of the sugar sitting on the bottom. I personally dont think it was worth the $53 that i paid being that I only ate half the food. Nice staff nd costumer service. Oh and a suggestion or question I guess but is there a reason why the prices are not listed on the menu?.

Service was great. He gave me a free slice of cornbread. I had the smoked oxtail/macaroni sandwich which was tasty. It’s very juicy , you’ll definitely need napkins. The Peach lemonade was tasty.

I finally had the chance to visit Cornbread Bae for lunch today and it was amazing! I had the Side Bae with turkey and oxtails with a side of Mac & cheese and candy yams. Can you say “Tenderism”??????? The oxtails and turkey were so flavorful and falling off the bone. It was sooooo delicious! The Mac n cheese was so cheesy and good. The candy yams were sweet and cooked to perfection. I can’t forget the cornbread! I normally don’t like cornbread however, this hit the spot. I definitely recommend cornbread bae honey!

i normally don’t leave reviews, but this place needs one! The food is AMAZING, the Mac & cheese is creamy, seasoned very well. The service was a 10/10 , he took time to explain the menu to me. Prices were fair as well, I will definitely be back !

Been wanting to try this place for a minute finally got up and did today. I wanted oxtails but wasn’t ready so I got the turkey and brisket with 2 sides. The turkey was good and juicy but the brisket was dry n tough as if it was old also ordered Mac an cheese and greens a lemonade. Got my food checked it before I pulled off they gave me yams and cabbage they were a lil busy so I just accepted it. Yams tasted like yams should but the cabbage no-go. Will give this place another try seemed like only 2 ppl wrk there so I understand I’ll b back tho
