The young woman assisting us at this location was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and efficient. My son remarked that she crafted an excellent bowl by putting granola on the bottom of the bowl. When I encountered issues with the Playa Bowls app, she graciously offered to look up my account using my phone number and informed me that I had a $3 reward available. Her thoughtful service truly enhanced our experience.

This place, unfortunately, isn’t going to make it. I’ve come here several times, and they’re always out of the things I actually want. I get that it’s a new business and there’s a learning curve, but it’s summer in Long Beach—how do you not stay stocked? Beach Blends across the street has never had this problem, and their owner actually lives in Long Beach and connects with the community. This place just feels like a money grab.
To make matters worse, the AC is always broken, which makes me question how fresh the ingredients really are. The workers also seem miserable, and honestly, I don’t blame them—working in 80+ degree heat with no AC is unacceptable.
I’ll be going to Beach Blends right across the street until further notice.
