Stopped in for a late lunch and this place did not disappoint. Food was delicious and there was plenty of it. We sat at the bar and Jason was very attentive and friendly without being overly there (IFYKYK). 10/10 would recommend this place. Only have pics of apps and menu. Oh, but the person next to us got one of the Mac and cheese dishes and it looked amazing

A great sports bar type restaurant. Our main entrees were good. My burger was phenomena, and my wife said her tacos were delicious.
Our sides however were pretty lackluster. My fries were undercooked and oily, and my wife’s rice and beans were very plain.
Our waitress was very nice, and checked back regularly. The space itself feels a little cramped.
I however would go back just for another burger.

Katie was an amazing server ! Greated us Hello as we came in.Katie checked in on us a few times to make sure we were OK which we were as the food was delicious. Will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

My grilled chicken Caesar wrap was so good, none went to waste.
The fries were fresh, well-seasoned, and potatoey greatness.
While the luscious, whipped cream clouds of heaven atop my sweet potato cheesecake were strikingly weightless.
The tavern was so chill and friendly,
So get down to Coopers Tavern in a frenzy!

6/2024 – First time visiting and we were treated so nicely by the staff & bartenders.
The smoked maple old fashioned was a solid 10/10. I actually felt the need to try to get the recipe on it to recreate it myself.
Braised Beef Barrel Rolls also a solid 10/10. Seasoned perfectly and nuclear hot. The sauce I’d give maybe a 7/10.
Fish & Chips were 9/10. The crunch texture was absolutely on point. I felt like it needed a pinch of seasoning in the batter. I loved that it was hand cut fries and not frozen bagged fries. The tartar sauce was also really good.

Been wanting to try this place for a while and the food did not disappoint! Buffalo bites were AMAZING, the best boneless bite I’ve probably ever had. The jalapeño burger was so good. The burger patty was undoubtedly made of high quality meat and the bun was so good. The atmosphere is a a little mid as the kids say, but they support police and military with is a plus.

A hidden gem in Edgewater. I usually travel to Annapolis or DC to eat but decided to pop in here tonight and I am so glad I did. The crab dip stuffed mushroom caps were packed and well seasoned, and the mushrooms were cooked perfectly. The crock of cream of crab soup was huge and loaded with lots of crab, great flavor and not thick and pasty. The fish and chips were crispy big portions of flaky, moist cod served with some great piping hot, hand cut fries. The service was great, fast and attentive. I will definitely go back.

My husband and I come to this place a few times a month to eat. (We’re in last night!) Never once had a bad meal. We are both huge foodies, and in our opinion they have the best burgers we have ever eaten. Anywhere. Better than any other sit down restaurant and yes better than 5 guys or sonic. I literally find myself craving the Tavern burger sometimes, that’s how good it is. The steak and cheese egg rolls are TO DIE FOR. I wish they came with 6 or 8 on a plate because I’d eat them as a meal alone.
Also NEVER SKIP THE DESSERTS. Yesterday we were the first ones to order the Reese’s cheesecake special they had this week. It was SO GOOD. And the chef brought it out with a huge smile on his face and looked very proud of what he created. And should be!!
Also the staff is SO NICE. They all genuinely seem to love their jobs and they are very warm and always will ask if they can get you things.
Overall, coopers tavern is probably our favorite restaurant in southern Maryland. Worth every penny, worth the drive. I waited a while to actually write this review to see if the quality thing was just a fluke. It’s not. This place should be treasured as a landmark in Maryland. Thank you to everyone who works there, because yes the food is very very good, but the passion and kindness of the staff make it great.

My friend and I first time there, we didn’t know what to expect. The cream of crab was simply delicious. Salad and blue cheese was perfect. My issue was with the lobster grilled cheese sandwich. I don’t eat American cheese, so I had another cheese. The scallions were too strong and over took the flavor of everything else. I would definitely recommend going there at least once. It’s a little pricey but the cream of crab made up for it
