Bodega was the perfect date night spot. From the moment we walked in, the service, atmosphere, and food were absolutely phenomenal. The space is romantic, warm, and cozy… intimate without feeling cramped and honestly, it felt like we weren’t even in Wake Forest anymore.

Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You can tell so much thought goes into the menu, from the tapas to dessert. The cocktails were just as impressive and paired perfectly with the food.

The staff was attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable without being overbearing, which really elevated the entire experience. It’s one of those places where you can slow down, enjoy the moment, and actually feel present.

If you’re looking for an elevated, intimate dining experience whether for date night or a special occasion this place is a must. We’ll definitely be back.

New to the area so decided to try this place out. Was not disappointed. Great for a date night. Food was delicious. Lamb meatballs were my favorite!

Outstanding bar service. Great tasting drinks, and food. We went on a Friday night on White Street event, so it was a bit crowded. We found some seats at the bar. The bartender was outstanding. She was very friendly and helpful in finding the right drinks for our tastes.

Four star rating is for their prices. A bit high for their food and drinks.

Bodega in Wake Forest is truly a hidden gem that deserves every bit of recognition. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, sophisticated, and inviting. But what truly sets this place apart is the food, simply exceptional, crafted with a level of detail and creativity that makes every bite memorable.

The Burratatouille was nothing short of a masterpiece. Creamy, fresh burrata paired with perfectly roasted vegetables, it was vibrant, rich, and comforting all at once. The tuna was another standout, delicate yet bursting with flavor, executed with absolute precision. And then came the surprising star: the broccoli vinaigrette. Who knew broccoli could be elevated to that level? Crisp, perfectly charred, and kissed with a tangy vinaigrette, it was easily one of the best vegetable dishes I’ve ever had.

Our server (a French gentleman whose name, sadly, we forgot) was fantastic, knowledgeable, charming, and attentive without ever being overbearing. He added a touch of authenticity and hospitality that made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Without hesitation, I can say this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. 100% I will be coming back again and again. If you’re anywhere near Wake Forest and love food that delights, surprises, and lingers in your memory, Bodega is an absolute must.

I really enjoyed this restaurant… Definitely coming back to try some more dishes!
Service was great, attentive and friendly and we were a large party and our waiter was awesome!
Standouts – Serrano Ham was sliced paper thin, almost melts on the tongue; the French Onion was rich and thick and the sherry added a kick; the Cauliflower was amazing with a sweet/spicy heat.
While these were standouts, everyone was super happy!

Amazing experience!!! Every single item that came out of the kitchen was a unique culinary treat. The drinks were very well done and the service was fast and friendly. We went on a Sunday afternoon and were immediately seated. Atmosphere was romantic and cozy. We will definitely use this restaurant as a fun downtown wake forest date night.

Interesting tapas offerings. We tried 9; all were very good to great. You’ll want 2 to 3 dishes per person. There is some outdoor seating which can be noisy from street traffic. The parking lot next door is free, but can fill up.

Outstanding tapas! Hidden gem in Wake Forest.

Some of my favorite shareables: the fried cauliflower, Peruvian chicken, crab dip, foie gras, salad, empanada, fried potatoes.
Drinks: They have a great wine selection. Love the Ship Down cocktail!
Dessert: the chocolate mousse is amazing!

Absolutely wonderful! We dined here tonight and it was phenomenal. This is the Triangle’s most underrated tapas spot. The hostess was welcoming, our server was fantastic, and the owner was great. It’s now our favorite place in Wake Forest. The wine menu is impressive with a unique selection. Highly recommend!

In the past, I highly recommended and enjoyed Bodegas Tapas. However, during my recent three visits (dining room table and bar most recently tonight), I encountered subpar service and disappointing food quality.
Tonight, the bartender initially took our order without any prior inquiry. She took our drink and food order but never returned to inquire about our enjoyment of our beverages and meals. When we received our dessert we immediately addressed our concern about the texture, the bartender abruptly asked what we wanted done about it without apologizing. She then handed us our bills and stated, “Well, folks, drive safe tonight.” Well I guess the restaurant doesn’t really care about its repeat customers.
