Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You can tell so much thought goes into the menu, from the tapas to dessert. The cocktails were just as impressive and paired perfectly with the food.
The staff was attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable without being overbearing, which really elevated the entire experience. It’s one of those places where you can slow down, enjoy the moment, and actually feel present.
If you’re looking for an elevated, intimate dining experience whether for date night or a special occasion this place is a must. We’ll definitely be back.
Four star rating is for their prices. A bit high for their food and drinks.
The Burratatouille was nothing short of a masterpiece. Creamy, fresh burrata paired with perfectly roasted vegetables, it was vibrant, rich, and comforting all at once. The tuna was another standout, delicate yet bursting with flavor, executed with absolute precision. And then came the surprising star: the broccoli vinaigrette. Who knew broccoli could be elevated to that level? Crisp, perfectly charred, and kissed with a tangy vinaigrette, it was easily one of the best vegetable dishes I’ve ever had.
Our server (a French gentleman whose name, sadly, we forgot) was fantastic, knowledgeable, charming, and attentive without ever being overbearing. He added a touch of authenticity and hospitality that made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Without hesitation, I can say this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. 100% I will be coming back again and again. If you’re anywhere near Wake Forest and love food that delights, surprises, and lingers in your memory, Bodega is an absolute must.
Service was great, attentive and friendly and we were a large party and our waiter was awesome!
Standouts – Serrano Ham was sliced paper thin, almost melts on the tongue; the French Onion was rich and thick and the sherry added a kick; the Cauliflower was amazing with a sweet/spicy heat.
While these were standouts, everyone was super happy!
Some of my favorite shareables: the fried cauliflower, Peruvian chicken, crab dip, foie gras, salad, empanada, fried potatoes.
Drinks: They have a great wine selection. Love the Ship Down cocktail!
Dessert: the chocolate mousse is amazing!
Tonight, the bartender initially took our order without any prior inquiry. She took our drink and food order but never returned to inquire about our enjoyment of our beverages and meals. When we received our dessert we immediately addressed our concern about the texture, the bartender abruptly asked what we wanted done about it without apologizing. She then handed us our bills and stated, “Well, folks, drive safe tonight.” Well I guess the restaurant doesn’t really care about its repeat customers.
