This is easily the best pho I’ve ever had. The restaurant is run by a Vietnamese owner, and you can truly feel the authenticity in every bowl. The portion is super fair! The service is incredibly warm and down-to-earth, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

this place is so underrated! it’s a comfy family owned spot and our server was sooo sweet and accommodating when i asked 1000 questions (it was my first time having pho!) the veggie pho was recieved well by my cousin, and i had the spicy egg noodles with beef and sausage(h05 i think) ! so so good! next time i’ll try it with the vermicelli as i personally didn’t like the texture (which is not on them)! and the chef even came out to explain how to use the sauces and to use the vinegar for meat (as it will make the broth sour) and to use the chilli sauce for additional spice (both made in house!!) love love love i will be back soon! i wish more restaurants had servers who actually know how to recommend dishes like this place!!

It was our first time dining at this Vietnamese restaurant, and it truly did not disappoint. From the delicious food to the warm and attentive customer service, this is definitely a place worth visiting. A big shout-out to Lenny, the genuine smile and energetic personality made our dining experience especially pleasant. P01 and P11 were absolutely delicious, though we wouldn’t mind slightly bigger portions next time We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we visit Hamilton from Cambridge.

I ordered for pick up last night as a first time diner at Pho Excellent, and it was delicious!
My husband and I are both vegetarian, and we both really appreciated that not only was there a dedicated vegetarian section, but it was ACTUALLY vegetarian (often we have found that the broth still contains fish or meat etc).
The staff there were very nice and friendly, and I’m looking forward to going back and trying the food as a dine-in customer too!

This place is just terrible.！The service staff’s attitude is also very bad. Every time I come here, it’s the same. What mad me is that today after I ate their pho, I actually found a piece of metal wire in it, with some unknown dirt on it. It’s so disgusting. This is the kind of wire used for scrubbing dishes or floors to remove stubborn dirt that water can’t wash away. It’s just too disgusting. I almost swallowed it. Then the waiter’s attitude was very indifferent. He didn’t charge me, but he didn’t have a good attitude either. He didn’t even say sorry. He just took away my bowl and told me to leave. This place is too disgusting. I will never come here again! everybody should not come again! They have unhygienic conditions，that‘s really bad! I threw up and my stomach feels really bad. I hope it’s nothing serious, but I feel very unwell. I don’t know if there was only this ball of metal wire in this bowl. Maybe I’ve already swallowed some. If I have eaten this metal wire, my stomach won’t be able to digest it. Then it might scratch my internal organs, causing gastrointestinal bleeding or even worse. If that happens, I will come to your store to demand compensation and even sue you! I hope you can use this as a lesson to improve the hygiene in your kitchen and also change your bad attitude. This is not what a service staff should have! It’s disgusting. I hope everyone can see this feedback, and then go check it out, you will know what I am saying! It is really dangerous thing! I don’t want anybody get hurt! I’m not kidding! If today is a little baby eat this little medal wire! You guys are done! I hope you guys remember this day!

My friends and I went to Pho Excellent excited to try pho for the first time, but this restaurant completely ruined it. From the moment we walked in, the service was cold, dismissive, and downright rude.
There were only a few other guests in the entire restaurant, yet the waiter acted like serving us was an inconvenience. We had to ask for water, which was never brought, and when we finally chose what we wanted, we were told that the restaurant, which literally specializes in pho, had run out of pho. Not just one dish, every pho option we tried to order.
When we asked a simple question about what was left, the waiter responded with an attitude, short answers, and visible irritation. His passive-aggressive behaviour made the whole situation uncomfortable. As we decided to leave, he stood behind us like a security guard, watching us the entire time, which felt extremely unsettling and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, when we called later to confirm, we were told they would have pho “back in an hour.” So clearly, he just didn’t want to serve us, and it showed. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in an empty restaurant.
We ended up going to Saigon Asian Restaurant just down the street, where the difference was stark. The staff there were friendly, respectful, and quick, even though they were busy. The food was amazing, and they actually treated us like valued customers.
If you want good food, kind service, and an actual pho experience, skip this place and go to Saigon Asian Restaurant instead. Pho Experience is a hard pass.

Highly recommend! The meat was grilled to perfection, chicken was soft and juicy. Good seasoning outside, great representation. The owner was welcoming and the restaurant felt nice to dine in. This dish in the picture goes buy thee code C01 on the menu. Would definitely return here!

When we tried to place our order, he had us write it down, only to come back upset and tell us we couldn’t have what we asked for. Eventually, he said they didn’t have any beef soup for the pho (which is the main thing on their menu) and then took the menus from us like he didn’t want us to stay. He didn’t offer any alternatives or suggest we come back later — it honestly felt personal and even a bit discriminatory.
We were nothing but polite and respectful, so the whole interaction was confusing and uncomfortable. We ended up leaving and going to Saigon instead, where the service was night-and-day better — friendly, welcoming, and professional.
I wouldn’t recommend Pho Excellent to anyone. The service completely ruined the experience, and I definitely won’t be coming back.
