I had lunch here with some friends and we all enjoyed our food! The staff was very nice and helpful as well. The sandwich portions are huge — I would recommend splitting one, especially if you order it with the fries (which were delicious).

Very much reminiscent of a Roman restaurant you might find in the Trastevere neighborhood, it is unassuming and unpretentious, but delivers where it counts. Because of this, Pane Rustica may be considered a hidden gem that consistently serves up fresh pasta, pizza and other Italian classics. Locals seem to know what a great place this is, because the restaurant was filled with diners and the happy buzz a really good restaurant always seems to generate.
Our small group had the pleasure of “carbing-up” here prior to the 2026 Gasparilla Classic races and everything was excellently prepared and presented. We all thoroughly enjoyed our Mediterranean Bruschetta, it was obviously freshly made and delicious.
Unable to decide on an entrée, I threw caution to the winds and tried the “Shut Up and Pasta” dish where you allow the chef to choose. I was very pleased to receive scampi shrimp served with freshly made Spaghettoni in a light butter sauce. It was excellent!
Service was wonderfully attentive, despite the busy night, and we were well cared for. We would happily recommend Pane Rustica for anyone visiting Tampa and craving fresh, high quality Italian food with a genuine neighborhood vibe.

Excellent restaurant run by great people. Dining in is a fun experience in an energetic, positive setting. Often we order to go and the quality is on point as well.

I ordered the Catered Thanksgiving. I was very dissatisfied with the quality of the Turkey which seemed like pressed meat The dressing was flavorless ,mashed potatoes lumpy and the vegetables were very basic. For the price of 200 for 4 without pies it should be flavorful and enjoyable

Nice bakery? Wanted a loaf of rye. No rye. I was told: Call 48 hours ahead for rye. Wanted thr multigrain loaf of bread. It’s no better than Wonder bread. Asked for the little chocolate cake thingy. $7. No thanks. Three strikes. I’m out.

8/29/25 I love trying out new places this place in particular was highly recommended so we gave it a try our server. Matthew was very nice. We were a party of four. We shared two appetizers and each of us got an entrée. I thoroughly enjoyed the spaghetti ciao Bella the salmon look delicious and I have to say the watermelon appetizer salad was probably one of my favorite watermelon salad I’ve ever had
