Bamboo Thai in La Mesa gets a solid 4 out of 5 from us.

We started with the gyoza and those were the star of the show. Crispy on the outside, flavorful filling, and easily the best thing we ordered. Definitely recommend starting there.

I had the spicy noodles. Unfortunately they were dry and a bit overcooked, which took away from the dish. The flavor was decent, but the texture just wasn’t there. My wife ordered the broccoli and beef and that was solid. Good flavor, cooked well, no complaints.

They surprised us with complimentary tapioca at the end which was a nice touch and tasted great. Service was friendly and attentive throughout.

Overall, good not great, but still a pleasant experience and worth a try, especially for the appetizers and service. 4 out of 5.

So I came here tonight on reviews and a lot of people said that the orange chicken was fantastic. Let me tell you those people have lied. This food is disgusting. Everything smells like fish. The orange sauce is not Saucy as you see in the pictures it’s gelatini and like I said again everything smells like fish just disgusting I will never go back.
I would also like to add that the chicken was just nothing but batter and it was rubbery.

Amazing Thai Cuisine in San Diego!

If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in San Diego, this place is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with friendly staff who made us feel welcome.

We tried several dishes, and each one was bursting with flavor. The vegan orange chicken was perfectly balanced—sweet, tangy, and packed with fresh ingredients. The Green Curry had just the right amount of spice, served with rice and a creamy coconut base that was absolutely delicious. And don’t even get me started on the spicy tofu Rice the perfect way to end the meal!

The service was excellent, and the food arrived quickly despite how busy they were. Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is a fantastic choice. We’ll definitely be back!

Highly recommend for vegetarians as well!

We really enjoy dining at this restaurant. The food is always delicious and the staff members are always friendly. We have never had a bad experience at the restaurant. I will admit it does take some time to get your food, but this restaurant is always busy, especially with the numerous take out orders that are placed, so have patience. The staff members are doing their best.

The food is amazing and fresh. I order a Combination Pad Thai, Cabbage tofu soup, and a Water. The chef actually cook to order, food came out fresh and hot. The Pad Thai was great tbh but not to my Pad Thai style. The soup is fabulous, the aroma and flavor are rich, they got me when it was just arrived on the table, really recommend but it is vegetarian.

Service is great, they are really friendly.

Atmosphere is really good, and clean. People mostly do takeout here but I do recommend to dine in.

First time and will go back! Had the Thai tea with boba it was delicious and refreshing. For entrees we ordered yellow and green curry with chicken. The sticky rice is very good and moist. Fun little restaurant, and if you dine in you get free little dessert surprise

We visited Bamboo Fresh Thai Cuisine, and this place fulfilled our craving for Thai food! The ladies were super kind, welcoming, and engaging. We learned about the history of some of their specialty dishes and how the Thai people also eat them. It was hot and sunny, so we had a rich and refreshing Thai Iced Tea to cool us down. We started with the Curry Puffs, which were so pillowy and heavenly. These were definitely made with love! Next, we enjoyed the Som Tum Salad and Pad Thai with Tofu which were flavorful and complemented one another so well. The dishes were all beautifully presented and perfectly balanced between salty, sweet, spicy, and sour. Make sure you try a sweet treat in the end. We had the creamy Tapioca Coconut Milk and it did not disappoint. There were so many dishes on the menu, and we can’t wait to visit again to try them all. The food was delicious, and the staff was simply amazing! If you absolutely love Thai food, this is the place!

There was a parking lot so don’t worry about parking! We spent about 60$ for the two of us but you can get really full with 10-20$ per person!

This was our first visit but I’m telling you it is a really great place!! The whole atmosphere in the restaurant was great! The cute decorations and music were really relaxing! The staff is so friendly and they kept checking on us and brought us water frequently.

The bamboo basket is really good! It was really crunchy, fresh and tasty, the two sauces that came with it were perfect to go with, I especially love that there were two little spoons by the sauce so you won’t get everywhere messy.

We had the spicy level 4 green curry and it was really spicy for us but so goood! It’s really flavorful and you can taste the creamy coconut in it!

I had a medium rare Tiger Cry Steak but it was too well done and too dry for me, but besides that the vegetables that came with it were fresh and well cooked, the mint sauce was really good too!

We loved our dessert!!! The mango sticky rice is a little different than any other mango sticky rice I’ve had before, it’s a little salty and a little sweet, it’s a good balance and you gotta try it yourself!!

It’s all about the food and the quality of the food is outstanding here. The chefs lean towards more authentic version of most Thai dishes. They also have a number of dishes that are not available in other Thai restaurants in San Diego. We know Thai food very well and we consider this restaurant one of the better ones in San Diego. Worth seeking out.
