Every single time I come here, the food is bigger and better. Just when you think it can’t get better, it does. All the while, the older menu items stay just as good or get even better.
For example, the smashburger. This place used to be known for their beer and pizzas, but since they moved to the new space a year ago (the old Parker Cty Ice House in Willow Park), they have expanded their menu. And I’ve tried several things on their food menu, but always go back to the smashburger. It’s not overly greasy. The bread is soft and squishy and sweet and airy. The cheese is melty but still stays on the patties. The patties are skinny and crisp but never burnt. The caramelized onions are never gooey, they’re just right. And then there’s the sauce….. the epic PCBC burger sauce. It’s a secret recipe, don’t ask them for it. They won’t give it to you.
I know everyone has their fave things about their fave burgers and may not consider this their new fave burger. My top three are 1- PCBC Smashburger, 2- Bricks & Horses (Bowiehouse Hotel FW), and 3- (I forgot. I think it’s Gusto’s in FW.)
Aside from the food, the beer is always excellent, huge variety of IN HOUSE BREWED beer. And outside beers too. Mike (the brewer) is so kind and loves to tell you about all his beers.
The patio is awesome. Outside, very open. Sunny or shaded. Umbrellas on picnic table style tables. Astroturf, super family friendly. Handicapped friendly.
But how’s the service….? NEVER had a bad experience. servers on the floor, patio, and behind the bar have always been on time, accommodating, they actually act like they care about your order and do it with a smile. The bartenders are always friendly and love to have chats with the customers.
They have a beer club, you definitely want to be a part of it.
Live music on the weekends. Not to mention, BRUNCH is coming soon on Sundays, I think starting in March.
I think I’ve said enough. give it a shot if you haven’t yet.
I really want this place to succeed but it’s getting worse. Drinks took forever, bar tender was too interested in chatting.
Our waitress was great, she was working her butt off. She had tables on both sides of the room inside and tables outside. There was zero organization for the waitstaff and you could tell they were frustrated from no support from management.
Our pizza was under cooked, we sent it back and they brought back 15 minutes later. It was EXACTLY the same but colder. Then we had to wait another 5 min for red pepper and parmesan. The manager finally came over and offered to cook a new one, we didn’t want to wait any longer so we ate that one. She did take it off of our bill and we gave most of that to our waitress as a tip. She was great.
This place has so much potential but it needs leadership.
Thank you to Trent for his amazing service and work ethic. If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t regret it.
I sampled over eight beers in flight-sized pours, and each one was executed with precision, balance, and flavor clarity. It’s rare to find a brewery where every style hits the mark, yet they have truly achieved that level of consistency.
This is an exceptional team producing exceptional beer. I highly recommend visiting—you’ll be glad you did.
