Villa Italian Kitchen was founded with one store, one family, and one concept in 1964 when our founder, Michele “Michael” Scotto brought his authentic old-world recipes from Naples, Italy to New York City. Michele’s commitment to hospitality, quality ingredients (like homemade dough, 100% whole milk mozzarella and fresh sauce), and the strict loyalty to his now famous recipes, built the business. From that first Villa Pizza that opened in 1964, next to the CBS/Ed Sullivan Theater on Broadway, to nearly 300 Villa Italian Kitchen restaurants later, our commitment to quality and genuine hospitality remains the basis of our foundation.
Counter-serve pizza chain with traditional pies & slices, plus pasta & other Italian staples.

panic he gently made suggestions not missing any details. On the day of our event, the mall was overwhelmed with tax free shoppers. We just knew our order would not be ready. Amazingly it was ready and they took care of us like royalty even in the mist of what felt like Black Friday. My guests were thrilled as we uncovered the food. We all loved the variety and quality of food that was served. Great Job Villa!!!
Shockingly bad.
I don’t want to rant and rave because I don’t want to be that evil guy who trashes a place on the internet. But I *had* to take the spaghetti and meatballs back. Besides the meatballs being so salty that they were crunchy with it, there was at least 8 oz of oil and water in the pasta bowl. I wish I was exaggerating, but when I took it back up to the counter and I tilted the bowl just a few degrees to show the employees I almost accidentally spilled the soup on the counter.
Now, here is where the whole situation was almost saved: the young man working the counter was very apologetic and offered to get me anything else I would want. I was really surprised, he was very considerate and helpful. As I’m writing this review I’m adding a star just thinking about this guy. He ran in the back to check if they were making more pasta and came out with a lady that identified her as the manger.
She was very, very, very checked out. Just not interested in there being a problem, just wanted to get rid of me. No apology, nothing. Very short with me, but she did get me a baked ziti with meatballs as a replacement. After microwaving it to make it warm (I’m guessing the tables are not up to safe holding temperatures?) i took the food back to the table for my wife.
It was also atrocious.
So, thank you to the guy working the counter! Out of the whole experience, you were helpful, professional, and I really wish I had caught your name because you deserve some recognition.
