I stopped by here to check out something local and fresh. It is so nice to have a family friendly sit down restaurant down this way finally. If you want local owned and operated small business, this is it. They are on a soft opening right now. The menu will have more items, and the hours will be extended soon. The wait staff was very nice. Very attentive and helpful. We had 3 meals all three were great. The pot roast was soft and juicy. The broccoli was the only thing we did not like. The color was not appealing, and the taste was mushy. The cezar salad was fresh and crisp. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and scrambled eggs were the same. The shrimp were large and very tasty seasoned perfectly. The fries were excellent taste and quality. The mac and cheese was delicious. Got to meet the chief he was a very nice guy. I will be back to try the other menu items soon.

The only reason I’m giving a 4 for atmosphere because it was extremely chilly inside Annie’s during my visit on January 24th. I decided to check this place out on the recommendation from a friend. We were greeted warmly and directed to sit where we liked. I ordered the Apples pancakes, with scrapple and scrambled eggs with added cheddar cheese. Pancakes had a great flavor, fluffy, cooked perfectly with crispy edges (that seems to be a thing now). Scrapple was cooked just right as well as eggs. My companion had the shrimp and grits with a side of home friedpotatoes. Peppers and onions were added to the potatoes making them even more delicious. Shrimp and grits (as told to me) could have used some cheese, a little more creamier, shrimp had an excellent taste. We went around noon. Food was good, portions were sufficient!! It wasn’t busy for dine-in, but seemed to have a steady flow for carryout. Our server Isaiah greeted us warmly and provided impeccable service.

My husband and I traveled from South Carolina and saw a review of Annie’s and decided to try it. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Ordered the catfish, pork chops, greens, Mac & cheese for lunch and everything was perfectly seasoned and flavorful. Topped off our meal with warm peach cobbler a la mode and French vanilla coffee… so scrumptious! Coming back tomorrow for breakfast!

Love southern food so decided to give it a try for lunch. Only one table eating when I went in and only one other showed up by time I left. There plenty tables and boothes and there was a TV in one corner.
Ordered fried fish with mac and cheese, collard greens, and cornbread. The fish was a whole filet and tasted great. The mac and cheese was very cheesy. Collard greens didn’t have taste to them and didn’t seem cooked long enough to get tender yet. The cornbread was a very good piece.
Other than the greens everything was great. Want to come back to try the breakfast here. Hopefully they switch to turnip greens instead and it would be perfect. Would definitely be back.

The Mini Cinnamon Rolls paired well with our coffee to start. Chicken and Waffles with Fried Egg w/ Cheese, YES PLEASE!!! This is enough food for two meals. The wings were the best fried chicken I’ve had in a long time. Scrapple was cooked to perfection. We’ll be coming back!

Marvelous local restaurant- the food and service are great! We’ve stopped in a dozen times so far and it’s been good each time. All day breakfast and lunch/dinner menus, and everything is tasty.
A caution- twice now we’ve shown up before 2pm and were waived off by staff, even though they close at 3pm and had plenty of open tables both times. Said they had been busy earlier but plenty of available tables and I’d have found sonething even if some items were low.

Stopped by Annie’s for lunch recently. Ordered a chicken tender meal. I got the green beans and mac and cheese sides. The green beans and mac and cheese were OK, but the chicken was great.
Staff were great, and the overall value was good. I would eat here again.

Was a great spot for brunch or lunch food was delicious I had the shrimp & grits. They were short staff and we had a party of 10 unexpected for them so some of us didn’t get all of our sides but the waitress Ashley was so nice and patient. She made sure everything was good.Their food quality was exceptionally good! Worth it for sure and nice portion sizes! Would definitely go back!

Look for the flags that say “OPEN” on the road or you could miss it. For those who remember the old George’s BBQ in Indian Head, that’s the soot.We were a group of 12. Amanda and the staff were ready for us, attentive and accommodating. Good breakfast spot! Portions are large and prices very reasonable!
