Veterans Day Appreciation Outstanding Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just stopped in at Long John Silver’s in Leavenworth, Kansas, on this Veterans Day and was greeted by JJ — a young man who recently started working at this location. From the moment I walked in, he was polite, respectful, and genuinely helpful. Between him and his manager, they made sure I received a generous Veterans Day meal, and their kindness truly made my day.
In a world where good service and gratitude can be hard to find, this team went above and beyond to make me — a veteran — feel valued and appreciated. Their warmth and professionalism reminded me that simple gestures of respect still go a long way.
As a Navy man, I was proud to strike the ceremonial brass bell as I walked out — satisfied, grateful, and honored

I’ve eaten at LJS my entire life. For over 50 years. I’ve always ordered exactly the same thing, the number 8 batter dipped shrimp meal. Until today the shrimp have always been consistently the same size. Fairly large. Now they have changed suppliers I guess and they look like popcorn shrimp. If they don’t go back to the old size I’ll take my twenty bucks elsewhere.
The service and the way it was cooked was excellent as usual. My only complaint is with the size of the new shrimp.
UPDATE!! They have the old, GOOD shrimp back!!

Giving this place a two mostly for convenience. I hadn’t been here in like 10 years so I figured I’d give it a shot. The staff is super friendly but the food was super gross. The bathroom toilet was pretty clogged up and the trash can looked like it hadn’t been washed in a long time. I asked the cashier if they had lemons into which they replied no. I thought this was really odd since it’s a place for seafood. The cups are cool but you can’t take your drink to go since they are made of glass.

Nothing better than good ole fast food LJS deep fried fish and shrimps! Dining area was clean. Staff was friendly. Service was quick. Food was tasty. Root beer was cold! The staff definitely got a bell ring on my way out!

Surprised they are still in business actually. They leave ppl at the drive thru forever. Gave me the wrong order (this happened in May) and didn’t even charge me. Smh won’t be long before this place is vacant and ppl without a job. Today, went to McDonald’s next door and watched other ppl in the drive thru pissed off they were waiting for a long time until one just drove off after honking the horn. Place is usually dead. No cars. No customers. Heard employee and inside was unsanitary and frankly… I believe it by the service they give. Idk why the manager even bother responding with sorry comments. This has been happening for a while now.

Last time I tried to go into a eating establishment on the south end of Leavenworth. Much to our surprise when we walked in you could smell the sewer. we stopped in a year or two ago at the IHOP which is close by and the lobby was so bad with a smell.
And what made it worse was the pieces of fish and chicken we received were tiny compared to what they usually have been. For as much as they charge which was almost $30 for two people, I want the bigger pieces. We did get a boatload of tartar sauce. Two people with six pieces of food between them don’t need 15 tartar sauces. I hate to say this cuz I love long johns and I rarely eat there because there’s not one close to me, but I’ll just go to St. Joe next time.

Worst appearing and worst tasting meal I’ve ever had from any Long John Silvers. I have loved going to these restaurants since I was a kid, and I’ve been to them all over the country. I have never had a worse experience than this. The food looked really bad, but I gave it a shot because, well I love the place. It tasted absolutely horrendous and nothing like any of the other restaurants I’ve ever been to. It was way overcooked and kind of tasted like it’s been sitting. I tried to go there the other day as well right after they were supposed to open but they were not open on time. The outside of the establishment looks really dingy and the menu board has apparently been broken for months if not longer. I can see why this place gets a lot of bad reviews, it’s unfortunate.

Good grief , the food is not even close to the A and W I use to know as a kid . It was such a fun treat , now, I’m sorry to say ruined all those fun memories of yesteryear.
