Came here with my vegetarian partner and some friends and we were SUPER impressed!
It really is an experience dining here and at a very affordable price point for fine dining.
Starts off with the waiters really diving into the menu especially for first time guests, ambiance is set with homely but pretty decorations and low lighting, and meals are plated beautifully!
The portions are on the smaller side, which is perfect for couples or groups wanting to share small plates.
There was one or two things that I thought were just okay (e.g., one of the crab rolls was too salty, and then the calamari was just mid quality for my preferences), but the rest of the items and the service more than made up for it. While there aren’t many vegetarian options, the ones we had were great.
Highly recommend the sake flight, nigiri, and pork belly, and then the curry fries and vegan sushi roll for vegetarians!

This place is AMAZING! From the homey atmosphere to the comforting food. Our server Eric, was so knowledgeable and friendly. It was my first time coming and I felt as if it was my 100th time going by the way I was treated by not only Eric but all of the staff. The food was so good the fish was clearly fresh, no doubt. I also tried their Wagyu skewers which was melting in my mouth practically; our waiter was even kind enough to show us their certification! All in all this is a great restaurant and I’m so excited to go back.

The Kaeru restaurant so far is the best Japanese sushi place in south florida. After my trip to Japan I’ve been struggling with finding truly good quality Japanese food and finally I found the place. Exceptional fish quality, no BS crab sticks, every nigiri was excellent. It’s very authentic place with friendly team of servers. I’m definitely saving this restaurant in my list of favorites. Definitely ask for cuddle fish sushi, it’s better than drugs where you want to start banishing because the taste is soooo good.

This is hands down one of the best sushi spots I’ve tried in South FL. The fish was so high quality that it made you feel like you were in a high end restaurant with the atmosphere of a chill spot. From the moment we walked in until the very last bite, everything about this restaurant was exceptional.
Jeremy, our server, welcomed us the second we walked in. We didn’t even have a reservation, but he took great care of us and sat us at the bar, which turned out to be the best spot in the house. From there, we had a front-row seat to watch the Chef (also the owner) work his magic. Every dish was treated like a piece of art carefully crafted, beautifully plated, and packed with flavor. You could see how much love and attention went into every single bite.
The fish? So fresh it could’ve jumped off the plate. This isn’t your average sushi joint this is a little taste of Japan tucked right here in our backyard. My husband just got back from Japan and said the quality of the ingredients here rivals some of the best spots overseas. That says everything.
We ordered seven dishes, and every one of them blew us away. Jeremy kept us entertained with stories and explanations about the menu, and you could tell the whole team truly knows and loves what they’re doing. It’s not just food—it’s an experience.
Honestly, part of me doesn’t want to share this hidden gem because it feels like our secret. But on the other hand, this place deserves all the love. If you closed my eyes, drove me around for 40 minutes, and told me we ended up in one of Miami’s top restaurants, I’d believe you. Except this spot is just 10 minutes from home.
We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Absolutely love it.

A pricey sushi place that feels worth it. The sushi is by far the freshest sushi I’ve had in all of Miami. The rolls are both creative and super tasty. My favorite roll consisted of spicy tuna and kimchi. It was so tasty and had so much flavor. On top of that all the employees are very kind and helpful. Highly recommend for a special occasion or if you want some really good sushi in Miami.

At the beginning, i felt disrespected by multiple staff members making my wife and I wait when there was multiple tables open and we where just standing their and no one helping us out, but at the they ended up being so nice and helpful and apologetic and we are thankful for kevin’s service and the energy of the workers is insane!! *side tip, if its your birthday, they do an amazing job at bringing the energy!!

Best sushi spot I’ve found in Florida. Fresh fish, generous portions, reasonable price, friendly staff. Small space but we had no problem walking in on a Thursday – maybe we got lucky! Will 100% be going here for sushi again.
