While on our way to New Orleans on our road trip, we wanted to stop at Hattiesburg as a lot of road signs in MS mention this town. This place ended up being our choice and no regrets on that. Alexandra did an amazing job explaining the menu and also being patient with our lack of decision making. LOL. We ended up ordering two burgers as the place is named after burgers and blues (nice to hear a Muddy Waters tune coming by as well) – both Bourbon and Downtown burgers were delicious, had a REAL angus Pattie (and that was appreciated by our tastebuds), a nice bun that could be compacted to edible proportions (we have seen way a lot worse in our lives) and all the fixings were fresh. Oh yes, we added an order of fried pickles but did not expect a full-size order, still yummy but hard to stop…. lastly, we ordered the fried apple pie and a coffee to hold us over. Success on that one, that cake is downright dangerous as you cannot eat stop eating it. TOP stuff. Ambiance? It’s a burger place in a medium size town and it delivers exactly that, none of the foo foo, but very honest. Great staff, very personable and courteous. 10/10.

Cool place to come grab a burger! They were slammed at 2 but we only waiting 10 minutes to get a seat. This is not a quick in and out place but believe me the food is worth it. I don’t like fried okra and loved these lol the sweet potato waffle fries? Flawless.. and my phillie burger was phenomenal. So glad we stopped by! And the service was top notch as well! Being a smaller place, you get the attention you deserve

1st time here and the burger was great. Great flavor and a good size for the money. I had the downtown burger and my wife had a patty melt but with a turkey patty and she loved it… the sweet potato fries were great.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Only thing they didn’t ask me how I would like my burger cooked. Family had a blast. Short wait steady business only one table not full until the very end of our meal and we arrived around 1:15 seated by 1:30.

Just discovered this restaurant by luck, what an amazing place to go to. Definitely the best burgers I ever had. Service and atmosphere is really great, I also like the decorations in this restaurant. I will come back again next time I will be in this area. I highly recommend to try their food.

When my husband and I arrived, the tables were full. We were offered to sit at the bar, totally understandable. The service was still fast considering they were at full capacity.
I had the pulled pork nachos and my husband ordered the grilled cheese burger. We absolutely enjoyed the food. You may want a to-go box. I also ordered a brownie (warm and topped with ice cream). Super yummy, will return again!
I want to add, with all the people there, finding a spot to park was a little tough, but it worked out.

Driving through, I’d been told to eat here and I did. I was worried about added sugar since this is a college town, and I was right to worry. Order the mayo on the side, because it’s turbo charged with sugar.

I absolutely loved our experience at Hattiesburgers and Blues downtown Hattiesburg! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly hostess, setting the tone for a fantastic visit.
We chose to sit at the bar, and the bartender who served us was phenomenal—so helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great time. She gave us excellent recommendations from the menu and helped me pick out drinks that perfectly suited my taste. I started with a classic mimosa, then tried the cucumber cocktail she suggested—both were refreshing and spot-on.
For food, I went with the Caribbean jerk wings, which were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly, my lord they were so good, I also added jalapeños to it.. My husband ordered the Big Mick Burger, and it was absolutely delicious. We also shared the fried okra, cheddar broccoli bites, and fries—everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and truly satisfying.
The atmosphere was inviting, the service was top-notch, and every bite and sip exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be back the next time we’re in town!
The bartender there, I cannot remember her name, she was so awesome. She really takes what she does seriously, she deserves all the praise for her hard work! I wish every bartender cared as mich as her! Thanks!!

I’ve been meaning to go here for a while and I’m glad I finally did. The burgers are among the best in the area, and the variety is decent. Price-wise it’s fine, nothing really stood out to me as being too expensive or a great deal. Our server was really friendly so that was nice. You’ll probably have to park across the street but it’s not a bad walk, especially on a nice day.
I ordered the Bourbon on Front burger, and my wife had the steak and eggs. She’s been here before and highly recommends the Sweet Butter Burger as well.
