Valentine’s Day 2026: this place caused an allergic reaction to seafood because someone, who doesn’t speak or read English (per the servers story), put shrimp spring rolls in with the clearly labeled “vegetable spring rolls” and no one noticed until I ate one. I was offered a glass of champagne, while my lips are actively swelling, and still charged us for the kids food. I took these pictures as proof before leaving. While the server was apologetic, this is not something I can forgive and owners should fully expect my insurance to hold them accountable monetarily.

We attended a wedding here and everything was wonderful. The food came out hot and fresh, and the service team was very attentive throughout the night. The atmosphere was elegant with beautiful décor and great lighting. A great venue for big celebrations. Highly recommended!

Service was prompt. Selection could have been better. Buffet price was $24.99 per person. Plenty of seating available.

From all the dim sum places I’ve tried in NOLA, Panda King is the ONLY place that has rolling carts for the food options. I really appreciate this since it’s a traditional aesthetic for dim sum that gives off an authentic vibe. The service was nice. The inside was normal, but clean. The food has always been great! Especially the shui mai & fried taro balls. The only downside is that they don’t tell you how much each food item costs. You would have to pick from the cart, and the servers will stamp on the checklist for the price. You don’t know the price beforehand. Aside from that, I don’t really have any other complaints. Yummy House is a really good spot too, but they unfortunately don’t have the rolling carts like Panda King. Overall, Panda King will always be an original West Bank dim sum staple.

OMG legit dim sum. Haven’t had anything even approximating this outside of the places I’ve been to in Chicago’s Chinatown. But this is a test of self control. We got there early and when they started rolling out the carts it was almost overwhelming. Being 1 of only 2 tables at the time, we were suddenly bombarded with a line of carts with way too much food that all looked way too good. We kept it to about 6 dishes and had enough to take home. Everything we tried was good, and so many options. I couldn’t tell you how much the individual dishes cost, but we pigged out and paid $20/person. Obviously the more or higher end the dishes, the more you’ll pay. The buffet is next door if that’s what you want. As is dim sum is weekend only(like most places), and worth the trip to the west bank.

Have a lot of options for dim sum, but the dishes that are served on the white plates are never hot. They need to figure out a way to make sure the food stays warm enough till it gets passed to the table. Other than that, it’s not that bad! Service is pretty good, and the push carts come around often.

My favorite dim sum options are the pork hock, shumai, roasted pork, roasted duck, and Chinese broccoli

Highly suggest coming around 11 am on Sundays to beat the crowd!

Review updated on 12-26-25. Very unprofresional experience from a Vietnamese manager. Half of the restaurant was empty. Two tables to seat 7 and some 6 people tables are full of durty dishes when we enter. Manager are not overseeing the cleaning. He do not let our party of Six to seat on the available round table that has 7 seat. He said. This is rules. 7 people seat on 7 people table, 6 people seat on 6 people table. I told him, we only like to seat on 7 seat round table that is available at the time. So we can order more food with young and senior guests. The young manager will perfer to watch 6 customers to walk away to cost the restaurant to lose more than $120 business. He use his super power to “not clean table, no let customer to seat and enjoy meals”. It is a turn off to other customers. More than 60 eye balls looking at the manager and hear this ridiculous event. (I hope the owner consider to instruct the manager change the rules but more flexible.) At the end, it is a long time push cart lady allow us to seat on the 7 chairs table and spend $120 at lunch with 15% tips which has no choose. (We have been a customer in Panda King for 20 years.)
Side track. The manager sneak out to the grocery store cheatiin-line from work for his personal small grocery items w/o wait inline after I had my meal.
I had to to update my review from 6 yrs ago. The twin lobsters are very much handicap. Each lobster missing their claws. 1-19-24

Had the dim sum and it was great. So many delicious options for a reasonable price. Also just a nice atmosphere

Came back and it was so delicious. Dim sum with the cart is only available on the weekends but you can still order some of the dim sum items on weekdays. The Peking duck is very similar to the ones in Beijing. The portion size was very big. Also definitely recommend the beef with stir fried flat noodle.

Don’t be so dim. Come to Dim Sum. Well, Panda King, to be exact. Dim sum are small dishes—steamed, baked, or fried.
Their Dim Sum is ONLY open on SATURDAY & SUNDAY afternoon now.

I do not recall what I ordered, but I definitely tell you that I ate Sum of Dim and it was yummy in my tummy!
