First of all this place is open! Currently serving dinner at The Bakery& Cafe.
Food was amazing. Service was great prices were reasonable. The best Elk I’ve ever had. Let folks know you’re still open! So others can enjoy this great find.

Fantastic experience: While staying in NM we had two visits at this restaurant. First visit we had the Fried Chicken Steak and it was amazing with the green chili grave. This picture it is also from fried chicken steak, but with pasta. The pozole soup was tasty.

They give you a free calamari entry on your first visit. Nice atmosphere with and outside patio. For drinks: I had a nice strawberry margarita.

Mikuna Grill was an absolutely marvelous surprise.
We walked in, were asked if we had reservations and were seated immediately anyway.
It felt like the food came out a little slow, but after it arrived our didn’t really matter, everything was spectacular!

Very nice atmosphere and very friendly wait staff! Parking is somewhat limited. The food, unfortunately, was not as flavorful or as appetizing as we’d hoped for, or maybe we just got the wrong items.. The yellow dish (Aji De Gallina) was pasty and bland and had relatively little chicken; it was better when mixed with rice for a little more solidity. The soup was decent, the yuca was good, and the lava cake was alright.. Eitger way, we could hear several other folks really enjoying their dishes, so we would definitely consider returning in the future!

The food was good. I had the Tallarin a la huancain montado which was quite flavorful. Not as good as I was expecting for the prices asked but still quite good. Drinks where unique sounding then average upon consumption.

The real problem being no fan or air conditioning in the entire restaurant, making the New Mexico heat an unwelcome guest for dinner.

We came here as part of a small tour. Environment was airy & the views were great. We had a 3 course meal. The potato soup was excellent, the main entree was fine but the pork was a bit dry, the chocolate mousse for dessert was good they gave us a tiny portion.

My favorite restaurant in Angel Fire! We ate at every restaurant here in AF and this one we ate on our last night here and wow was the best saved for last because we really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the service, so amazing! I had a lime pineapple margarita and the Tallarines Verdes con Ribeye, (pictured), other dishes we had were the Creamy Shrimp Scampi, the Lomo Saltado and the Aji de Gallina!! My family sampled each others plate picks because they all looked so amazing and we recommend all these dishes! Portions were also very generous, I saw other reviews complaining about the portion sizes but they are wrong because we’re from Houston, Texas a place of fine dining and huge portions so when I say the portions are generous, they are. My one negative and I can’t even take a star away for it was that the dessert selection wasn’t very much, however it is a busy time of year but better preparation for that would be nice, overall A+++

From the time we arrived, the experience was flawless. Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, with a Peruvian staff to help honestly navigate through what was authentic Peruvian food (for people like me) versus the stuff on there to pacify picky eaters (like my kids). ‍♂️

We started off with the truffle fries and anticuchos (no pics) and everyone at the table was satisfied.

My pesketarian daughter had the shrimp scampi and it was unlike any scampi I’ve ever had. If that’s Peruvian scampi, count me IN. Unique flavor, perfectly cooked pasta, and I can’t vouch for the shrimp bc she didn’t give me one.

My other daughter had the fish and chips and the breading on the fish was light, flaky, and again, truly unique. An abundance of food with both regular fries and sweet potato fries, both of which were fantastic.

My son got the burger, medium rare, and he said it was the juicest burger he’s ever had.

My wife got the ceviche as a main course (more than enough) and while she didn’t realize ceviche was served cold, she was pleasantly surprised. I helped her finish it off and it was amazing. Spicy, tangy, fresh cuts of fish with perfect texture, and yet another unique treat.

I got the Aji de Galina and the yellow pepper sauce hit the spot. Creamy but not greasy, spicy but not hot, chicken that melted in my mouth, with perfectly cooked rice and potatoes on the side.

They were slammed busy (even with the ridiculous and ineffective Covid restrictions implemented by the NM governor), but were always able to stay on top of things with our table.

If we ever come back to Angel Fire, this is a must. Even if we don’t, I’d encourage anyone in the area to come enjoy their hospitality and amazing food.

Very classy restaurant, and the food was probably the best we tried in town. if you are in town you should certainly try it out! You won’t be disappointed! it has indoor and outdoor seating. It’s good for a romantic dinner or just family/group dinner. They serve ceviche , which is one of my favs, but it’s a bit spicy with chilly so be prepared. Food it’s very tasty and fresh. Prices range from $8 (appetizers) to $32 (the most expensive entree). They are kids friendly. They have a good kids menu (see picture). They have a good wine list, and craft beer. Bathrooms are separate for woman and man, and they are very spacious and clean. You may need to do reservations. Seating may be limited, but is good for groups.

I’ve never been accused of seeking out Peruvian food. But man the chicken fried ribeye was pretty flippin tasty. The service went out of their way to greet us and make us feel welcome. The outside seeing was amazing in the summer. Wish they had more options on the beverage menu. But if that’s my only complaint were all doing pretty well. We also lover the mashed potatoes and corn.
