Social Profile:

What do you do after being handed the keys to the oldest bar and grill (est. 1888) in Grand Rapids? Simply put–not much. Sometimes a classic needs to remain a classic. The Gilmore Collection has worked to maintain the vintage character of the original bar by leaving many of the original historic pieces untouched. For many Comstock Park natives, Nick Fink’s is the go-to neighborhood tavern to watch the big game, and celebratory evenings out. For others, Nick Fink’s is a historical landmark that must be experienced and cherished. We welcome all (ghosts included) to join us for a drink at the infamous, the legendary, Nick Fink’s!

While standard pricing on menu seems fair, I am very disappointed with the deceptive advertising online AS WELL AS signage at the table for happy hour. Instead of HH table placard saying “50% off almost everything”, it needs to be reprinted to say “50% off almost NOTHING”!!!!
See pics from today. It’s truly comical…
The only HH foods that are 50% off are
dips and chips (street corn, guac, queso and salsa) BUT not their trio of dips.
Well drinks are advertised as $2.50 (which is dirt cheap) but we were charged $4 and had bill amended to reflect HH discount. I don’t mind spending $4 for a drink BUT it’s the point that you need to bill according to what you advertise so customers are not mislead. Or better yet, just don’t have any food specials or keep well drinks at $4 and don’t advertise $2.50.
I just expect to get what I see advertised. I think that’s a very fair expectation. ‍♀️
On a positive note: Food was surprisingly VERY good for bar food.
Just don’t go with any expectations of HH deals even if you see the signage at the tables or read about great deals online. I’m guessing these placards will be disappearing soon…at least I hope so….

Met a good friend I haven’t seen in a very long time here for lunch on a Saturday. Absolutely love the atmosphere & booth style here, the vibe. Service was good. Menu is a lil small but delicious hot food. I would come back here.

What a cool place! The trash can nachos & espresso martini were both delicious. Tre, our server was one of the best we’ve had in a long time. He was knowledgable, patient & a delightful edition to our experience. This should be your go-to dive bar on the west side.

It was a cool place and has potential. The food and service were not great though. Ordered mozzarella sticks and they were overcooked, hard, with cheese exploded out. The burger was really dry and the bacon had a super odd taste to it (I normally love bacon, and can’t ever remember turning it down before today).
Would maybe come back for a drink at the bar, but probably skip the booths and food next time.

My Fiancee and I came to Nick Finks on a Wednesday in the early evening. The atmosphere is great. You can feel the TLC they put into the building when reopening. The bar definitely kept its Dive Bar roots without the dirtiness and darkness that can come with others.

Food and drink prices were great!

We got the housemade bean dip appetizers and it was satisfactory. Didn’t try much else as we were just stopping by for a drink and an app, but we will be back to try some of the other bar food!

If you like local dive bars with good prices and a great history come check this out!

My husband and I went on a Tuesday night. There were hardly any other people there and it was a quiet and chill atmosphere. Very neat old school bar with unique lighting and decor. We seated ourselves and were attended to quickly. The fries are addictive, and our sandwiches were great as well!

Met up with family here. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful. I would like to shout out our server Bryan, I hope I spelled it right. He was wonderful and always checked on us. He also saw that my son got a few hotwheels cars for Christmas, My son is obsessed with hotwheels cars, and he went and got two out of his car and gave them to him. It was such a sweet gift. We appreciate you so much and my son loves them. Definitely will be back again next time we come to town.
Merry Christmas Bryan!! We hope you have a wonderful holiday!!

I came for a Latin Dance event on a Sunday night here and everyone was so welcoming! I had never done any latin dancing before and everyone who asked me to dance was very helpful in showing me the basic steps to bachata, cumbia, and salsa 🙂
