I’ve been to Mix more times than I can remember. They are always great! I’ve never had the Korean BBQ, but have had their BiBimBap, sushi, dim sum, and other appetizers. Loved them all! The waitstaff are always attentive and knowledgeable, always checking back in on us. If you enjoy Thai, Korean, or Japanese, you’ll enjoy this place!

Unique dining experience in Marion.
We read mixed reviews but decided to try it anyway.
We were not disappointed, for those that want to experience hot pot they have a nice variety of soup choices and ingredients that you may not expect to find.
The service was friendly and the atmosphere was fun and decorated well. We were there in the middle of the week (wed) so they were not very busy.
***Note: when you slide into the booth or tables watch your knees as it has to hold the electronics for the hot pot it reduces leg space (our wonderful waitress warned us so we didn’t hit our knees )

We went to MIX for our company holiday party and it was an amazing experience! We got to try all three options: hot pot, sushi, and Korean bbq! It was all delicious and such a fun experience. Kyle and his team were so much fun and handled our rambunctious group so well! Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this eating experience! The smoky tomato soup was our favorite and it was delicious! We only got thru 2 rounds. You get a lot of food each round. The beef brisket ended up being our favorite meat out of the ones we tried. We also really liked the ramen noodles. I liked the quail eggs as well! The only thing we didn’t really like were the meatballs, they were kind of rubbery and texture was not my favorite. There’s also is a spot where you can find all the spices and sauces which I thought was nice. But overall it was delicious! Highly recommend getting the smoky tomato soup with the beef brisket with one of your rounds. The bathroom was clean and in the back.

Customize your Mix experience. Multiple options for those that like sushi, hot pot, Korean dishes, etc. You can really make it your own. Staff was helpful and friendly, explaining the hot pot process and experience to me. The fried sushi is amazing as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience in restaurant at Mix.

Quality of food was excellent, workers were very friendly. A wrong dish did come out but it was corrected. Big props to the staff there working hard to keep up with the many customers that flow in.
The menu is very big with several options and diverse. There’s nothing on the menu I don’t want to try! I’m comfortable to say it’s the best restaurant in the Cedar Rapids/Marion area for your Korean and Japanese food fix.
Definitely recommend and have been recommending to all my friends since I’ve visited twice now.

The crab wontons are out of this world. Service was great and the food is delicious. Overall it was a great experience. *Update 12/21 Went again the day before Thanksgiving. The food and service is top notch. Ordered delivery about a week later an was not disappointed. I think I’m addicted to their fried California roll …

I come to MIX primarily for the hot pot, and it never disappoints. The variety of fresh vegetables and meats is always impressive, and the broths are incredibly flavorful. Every visit feels like a treat. The staff is consistently kind and attentive, which makes the experience even better. Although they made a point to mention the 90-minute dining limit this time, it felt unnecessary especially since we opted for the all-you-can-eat option. If you’re a slower eater and waiting between rounds for food, the time can pass quickly. We also came during a non-busy time, so it’s unclear why the reminder was emphasized.
