Very disappointing experience. The noodles were bland and extremely oily, and the veg Manchuria was unevenly cooked—some pieces undercooked, others overcooked. The person at the order counter was rude and appeared irritated when we asked for the price of an item he said was available but wasn’t on the menu.

If you’re stopping here while traveling between Florida to Georgia, be cautious. Using less oil and improving customer service would make a big difference.

I have seen the signs and finally was able to stop. The service is helpful and friendly. They were not fully aware of my allergy needs but were patient to help with my gluten free needs. My food was delicious and filling. The tv was a little loud even with my earbuds in.

It was our first visit and it won’t be our last. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and personable. The restaurant looked clean, organized, and well maintained.
The food was absolutely wonderful. I think it was by far the best India food I’ve ever had.
I loved the ambiance. It was quiet, peaceful (no loud music playing), and comfortable.
This is probably the only time I can honestly say a restaurant had a family atmosphere.

Had a very bad experience at this Indian restaurant while traveling back on I75. We ordered food for the whole family and let me tell you the quality of food was PATHETIC. Did not expect that from all the google reviews that this place had, not sure if these are real or fabricated! Chicken Kathi roll was full of oil and vegetable (with burnt peas) and very little chicken. Gobhi Manchurian was uncooked from inside. Dal makhani was also not cooked properly and the paneer dish had barely any paneer in it. When we complained about the food the cook was called out and he immediately got aggressive as if we did not know what Indian food tastes like! I goes offense is the best defense for this guy. The owner or manager who was there did not care either that the food was so bad. I guess he already knew! None of them offered to make the dishes right, which is usually sop for any restaurants. The taste of the food was so bad that I can’t even explain.
I guess long story short it is a highway joint where people like us will come once and never come back and that’s the business model.
When we dig deeper in the reviews later, we saw that I lot of Indians have given similar bad reviews and talked about similar or worse bad experiences. Most of the American named reviews have praised it a lot, and that’s the recurring theme when you read the reviews in detail.
But for me this was the WORST INDIAN FOOD that I ever tasted in MY LIFE, PERIOD. Just glad we did not get sick!
So avoid this place if you can, may be drive a little longer to Valdosta or Macon, they might have better Indian food options (being bigger towns than Tifton).
Hope it helps… cheers!!

Nice place. Solid food. The buffet portion is a little limited. But everything is good. This is one of those don’t let the size fool you. The quality is top-notch. I met the owners. They are great people who care about their customers.
The chai tea that comes with the buffet is amazing.
They are located directly off 75. So perfect for travelers trying to get a quick lunch. Or dinner break. I will likely stop here on my travels forevermore.
Thank you guys.

Amar Indian Restaurant is a fantastic gem conveniently located right off the I-75 exit in Tifton, GA. Sharing its parking lot with a gas station, it’s incredibly convenient for travelers looking to fuel up both their cars and their appetites!

The restaurant doubles as an Indian grocery store and is run by a welcoming and hardworking family. We ordered Dal Tadka, Paneer Methi, and butter naan, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. The food arrived promptly, which was perfect for our quick stop on the road.

This family-run small business is a wonderful addition for anyone traveling along the interstate. It’s heartwarming to see such dedication and quality in both the food and the service. Highly recommend stopping by for a delicious meal and a taste of authentic Indian hospitality!
