Delicious Pozole. Green was my favorite 10/10. Red was also very good 9/10.
Ordered the chilaquiles to share with my group and they reminded me of my dad’s enchiladas, same, sauce. They were mostly OK 6/10.
The resturant is situated in a sketchy part of town so just keep that in mind and make sure to not leave any valuables in your car.
Highly recommend this place for it’s Pozole, some of the best I’ve ever had.

I went on a Sunday morning around 11 AM as a first-time customer, and the place was absolutely packed, which to me was already a good sign. They told me the wait would be about 35 minutes, but it ended up being less than 10 minutes definitely not complaining about that.
The food was absolutely great, especially their red menudo. Prices are very reasonable too, which is always a plus. The only thing I really didn’t like was the drink situation. They don’t have refills, and when you order a Coke, it’s just a small bottle with a cup to pour it into. No soda machines or fountain drinks, which I think is pretty essential for a sit-down restaurant. If they could fix that, this place would easily be a 5 star spot for me.
Overall, it gets busy for a reason the food is worth it. I’d go back for the menudo alone, even if the drink setup isn’t ideal. Maybe next time I will just get takeout.

This place is quite popular and busy. Went there around 9:30am and the restaurant was almost full. Both Huarache Asada and Pozole Verde tasted good. We also ordered Pambazo to go. It was yummy.

The neighbourhood looks gato. But the food is authentic and probably was one of the best. Combining with portion size and price. 100 points out from 10. Definitely going again soon.

Wow!! Absolutely amazing pozole definitely one of the best places in Phoenix. I love Pozole so I know what to look for. To start off the spice of the chili is perfect not too spicy and not too bland. The meat is perfectly on point. The hominy is perfectly cooked. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I’m definitely going to be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

This is like the homemade magic at “la cocina de la abuela.” The food is delicious and cooked to order. I’d say that is the highlight of this hidden , definitely worth a visit. The service was great!! Yo habla Español, so it was a pleasure and fun to support a small business in a small community. Again, the food hit home. This would be a 5 star for me, except the location outside the establishment can be uncomfortable for some. However, once inside, you’re not going to notice. It’s my kind of place where you can find authentic Mexican food, and the prices are affordable with good portion sizes. I’m definitely coming back.

Pozole could be a bit hotter (warmer)it is definitely a good pozole. I also tried a pambaso, and that one was great. It’s an old place, but it goes with the saying of a good hole in the wall. Service was polite. I will go back!

Phenomenal pozole, best I’ve ever had. Both red and green are great but the green has insane depths of flavor. Must go when in Phoenix. The chorizo and potato Torta was insanely delicious as well.
