Ray & Dots is the perfect old-school, sit down, order a beer and bar food tavern. Popular for years as a VFW post, the drinks and food are very affordable. The atmosphere includes numerous screens for sports, a pool table, dart board, seating by tables, or at the bar. This is a great place for get together with friends because the noise level is low enough for hours of conversations. I ordered a Cheeseburger with Pepper Jack cheese. It comes with a bag of chips. Nothing fancy, but at $7.00, a very affordable price. Beer on tap was a seasonal Staghorn Oktoberfest, Guinness, and domestics. You can’t go wrong!

This is a great bar if you like good food and great service. The bartenders are first rate and friendly. They have a great menu and serve late which is why I go there a lot. Usually my last stop when I’m out and about. Love the deluxe pizza!! Jeff is my favorite bartender lifetime!!! Come in snd ask for his blessing as he is an ordained minister!!!! Coming and watch sports there’s always a couple TVs going with sports on. I like to play my music using the touch tunes application. They have a single pool table which is normally available!
Update come and see Jeff He’s the big burly bald guy behind the bar My favorite bartender of all time besides my brother you can’t go wrong here. Good people the food is fast and good and the people are friendly! Tell Jeff that Dan sent you or the Zenman!!

Great bar with a local atmosphere.
$2.75 for most light beers and $3.00 shots. Food is also reasonably priced with $10 pizzas.
The bartenders are always very nice and accommodating. There’s plenty of TV’s if you want to catch a Packers, Bucks, Brewers, or Golden Eagles game.
There is also an ATM, pull tab machine, slot machines, and pooltable.

Always a good time. Drinks at a great price. Bartenders were quick, friendly, and attentive to the whole bar. A lot of TVs with multiple sports. Pool table. Also attached to an American Legion with a nice party room.

I had vodka and 7Up but wasn’t able to finish second drink due to stomachache. It tasted like the soda gun needed a good cleaning because the 7up tasted off. Staff were kind and the place was busy for the Brewers game. Would be a good place to chill on a less packed night (and maybe a bottled drink).

Nothing but great things to say. This is what a bar is supposed to feel like. Casual, fun, clean, cozy. Everyone was so nice to me, even the other diners. The atmosphere was awesome for me to get my drink and a bite. Thanks for the great time! And the fried pickles!

If you are looking for a place the reeks of desperation this place is for you. Local “dive bar” where you walk in as strangers but leave as friends.

We have been coming to this bar for a while now with our friends, we’ve always loved the environment and the food but tonight really opened our eyes to who you have on your payroll. We stopped in after a movie night to grab a drink with our friends, the older blonde bartender told us that without IDs we couldn’t be served. We said “okay that’s fine, we understand, we’ll just hang out over there for a few minutes and go”, to which we stood at a table with our friends for a few minutes to chat because she never told us that we couldn’t do that. The bartender blindsided us, rushing up and demanding that we leave because we didn’t have IDs. Not a single moment of not even 10 minutes spent there had we ever shown the hostility that she gave us with no reason behind it. We explained that we weren’t grabbing a drink, and we just wanted to chat for a few minutes. After some disrespectful comments made towards us, we left.
She also couldn’t fathom why my fiancée didn’t have his ID, if you’re reading this, it’s because our date nights are 50/50, he bought the tickets, I drove and bought our snacks, so he had no reason for his wallet, and after the movie our friends invited us to Ray & Dots. What’s odd is that we’ve been there several times in the past and this SAME BARTENDER has never ID’d us, nor did she ID our friends that were already there. What brought it upon her to disrespect us and throw the bar laws in our face when she clearly decides from day to day who she’ll card, is beyond us. Again, we never once argued or disagreed, because we had no ill intentions, we said multiple times during her rampage that we understood, that we would say our goodbyes and head out, and as we made a motion to move, she escalated the situation with disrespectful comments. I’ve been a bartender for almost 15 years, I’ve had to remove several people from the bar and never ONCE have I ever spoken to someone the way she did to us. I know the laws, as does he, which is why we didn’t argue and agreed to leave multiple times. The way she handled the event was again, disrespectful and jaw dropping to say the least. Ray & Dots please please hire better.

Ray and Dots is a classic. The food is good, but it’s classic bar food. The service is excellent. Don’t go in with expectations of a posh contemporary, up-scale lounge. It’s old school VFW and a priceless hem!
