I came in today with family for the first time. The food was good, but I can’t say the same for all the service provided.
It was not busy and food did not take long at all. The food was good, I wouldn’t say anything special, and the portions were quite big.
Judgmental looks were made by the servers from the moment we were sat. The server looked at us like we weren’t speaking English, every word that came out our mouths.
It was very quiet and the server, Christa, was fairly attentive. When our meal ended I paid and put a line through the tip. Walked outside to grab more cash to leave a good tip while my family finished packing up leftover food. When I came back inside she was at the table with my receipt and asked me if I meant to put a line through tip, I replied yes and she very shortly and rudely replied “ok have a nice day.” So I left her a small cash tip.
As someone who has served for years I would never go out my way to ask a customer if they meant to leave a tip or not, question the amount I’m being tipped or anything otherwise. I hope they don’t treat others the same way.
Overall it was an ok experience and I wouldn’t go back.

During my recent Pennsylvania road trip, I stopped here for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was well-appointed. The huge selection of sodas and milkshakes was notable. The black cherry soda was particularly flavorful. I plan to try the milkshakes on my next visit. I am also looking forward to the new location opening in Delaware.

Josie was my server and the service was fantastic. She was polite and the food came out very quickly. Will definitely be coming back. Also just love the overall environment of the restaurant- very friendly. 10/10

Enjoyed our lunch here on a weekend trip to Philly. Cheesesteak was tasty. Fries pretty good. Kids enjoyed their food as well. If I ever get there again, would love to try one of their sodas… they have a large sofa fountain with many unique flavors. Kids got lil chef hats and coloring sheets. There’s also a bunch of games/ prize machines lining the walls by the entrance. Someone was using 1 of the bathrooms for a very, very long time. Luckily there was another one to use because my child really had to go. Otherwise, friendly staff and we got full.

I’ve been going to Nifty Fifties as long as I can remember, that I was incredibly excited that they opened a location closer to me. We probably order from here almost every week. Everything they make is simply the best! They hands down make the GREATEST black and white milkshake in the world and such a good cheeseburger. Even though I am not able to enjoy their buns due to a gluten allergy, they are always super accommodating to give me a lettuce wrap and their fresh cut fries are made in a separate fryer so I am able to have them. We will always keep coming back for more!

We walked in and were seated at a table, it wasn’t busy, we asked to be moved to a booth which after a few minutes we were granted. The shake was unbelievably good, one of the best I’ve had in a while. The chili burger and fries weren’t bad. Mary was our server. 5 minutes after we got our food, she asks if we want a to go box and we replied no as we had just got our meal. We felt like she was rushing us from the moment we sat down. She came back with our tab and asked if we wanted anything else, I asked for another coke since we were still eating our meal, she crumpled up the tab and turned around and brought another coke. We scarfed the rest of our meal down, paid and left. I would say the shakes are great, food is ok, service is below standard. Won’t be coming back

I have been so excited about getting a Nifty Fifty’s in our town. I just went and it did not disappoint ! Service was friendly and they moved the line quickly. The chicken fingers were delicious and they have a really great honey mustard. The peanut butter candy cake milkshake was bomb!

Wow! It’s been years since I had a chance to go to a Nifty Fifty’s. The last time I was there was in 1996 in South Philly. I have to say, the food is still just as delicious as it was back then. I ordered the mushroom cheesesteak, cheese fries and a Banana Blitz malt. They made a mistake and made me a chicken cheesesteak instead, but I’m glad I didn’t send it back. It was one of the better chicken cheesesteaks I have ever had. Nice flavor and very tender. My granddaughter had the chicken cutlet sandwich and cheese fries. She has a coconut milkshake. She was so happy. She couldn’t wait to get home to eat her leftovers. My wife had a bacon cheeseburger and an order of onion rings. She loved it. She kept raving about the onion ring sauce. This was her first time there. We were celebrating her birthday which was fell on Mother’s Day this year. We had Dell as our server and he was great. A very polite and friendly guy. He made sure we didn’t want for nothing. Thanks Dell!! Needless to say, I am recommending this location. Great music, service and food! How can you beat that?
