We eat lunch here almost two to three times a month. The subs are a little overpriced for what you get, so that’s why we come for the pizza.
But really, Rubino’s is a great place to eat for families or a quick bite. A local staple, in my opinion.

“Brooklyn Style 16″ – Thin Crust”
Thin crust means super thick crust although slightly thinner then the deepest dish crust they offer. Thats right, “thin crust” means thick, deep dish crust.
Ordered double chicken on my pizza. $6 worth. 5 of the 12 slices had less then 2 tiny cubes of chicken on it. The “Manager” told me the driver must have tilted my pizza and made the chicken move because “they double checked and there was a lot of chicken on there”. The pizza got tilted and the chicken got up and repositioned itself without the cheese moving. A true miracle!
Manager didn’t care that I waited an hour to get my food and that I have stomach problems and cant eat what they delivered. She told me to call door dash and have door dash order me a new pizza which they would deliver in “over an hour”.
Manager also went on to blame door dash for how the menu is written. If you are integrating your menu on a third party site for delivery, how about you make sure it is accurate. Nobody on Earth would think “Thin Crust” means 1.5 inch thick crust.
So after my 12 hour day of work, I have no food to eat. Do not order from this clowns. This pizza is also a greasy disaster that I wouldn’t feed to my worst enemy. -5000 stars. AWFUL.

Do NOT order delivery from this restaurant. Even though I selected “hand me the pizza” the driver left the pizza at the door and left. When I opened the box, the pizza looked like the driver turned the pizza sideways. When I called the restaurant they said it wasn’t their responsibility because they use Door Dash for delivery. I said I would never order from them again, and they said “Ok, thank you.”

I only give 2 Stars because of the satisfactory service I received from the staff. Glad that when I called in my order at 8 pm I was informed that they close at 9 but it seemed I was being told that because they wanted to go home and not because of shortened hours due to Covid-19.
As for the food, I am NOT IMPRESSED! It is microwave quality and grossly overpriced. I ordered a Chicken Parm Stromboli and got a Calzone, not the end of the world except THERE WAS NO SAUCE… so it was Chicken and Cheese with Ricotta.
For a place that Boasts about their “New York Subs” this mistake is a Cardinal Sin and proves that claim is just a Marketing Gimmic and a $13 Calzone in a small Pizza Box confirms that. In New York a Large Calzone for the same price (this place only has 1 size) comes in a Large Pizza Box and you can eat off it for 2 Days.
Fortunately, just like in NY, there is a Pizza Place on every corner around here so after giving this place a few tries I will go somewhere else next time…

When I can’t make it back home to New Jersey. I take a short trip to Rubino’s Pizzeria in Herndon, VA. By far the best cooked as well, tasting pizza in Herndon. If you haven’t got off your butt yet, do it now. You will not, I mean “not” be disappointed. Thanks for the great pizza Rubino’s….every single time. Perfect!!!!

Fat Paulie is a must have. I recommend that you try it once.. add it to your bucket list. Ham, Genoa salami, capicola and sharp provolone. Lettuce, tomatoes, onions,olive oil, vinegar dressing and hot chopped cherry peppers. Don’t forget the napkins!

I ordered a pizza, steak-n-cheese, and loaded fries for takeout. 1st up, the service was excellent! The servers/workers were courteous and helpful. As for the food, I have mixed reviews. The pizza was phenomenal! It was delicious and the dough and crust were perfect. I was not a fan of the steak-n-cheese. It was alright, but was not flavorful and the cheese sauce was just uhn to me. Made me think, “I’ve had way better”. And the loaded fries were just okay. The fries themselves were good, liked the shallots and bacon and sour cream, but baking the cheese on made the topping fall. So I wasn’t a fan. I will definitely be back for the pizza dishes!
