I love Steak and Fries been going here for a long time just finally now doin a review lol. I had their Philly Steak, Ham Supreme, Italian Beef and 2 Fries. It all cost 47 dollars. 1st the Phily Steak it’s jus perfect to me no flaws. 10/10. 2nd the Ham Supreme Is good just too salty. 8/10. Last the Italian Beef was spectacular beef was tender and flavorful. 8.5/10. Food Game 9/10. Portion Game 8/10. Price Game 8/10. Overall Steak and Fries 8.5/10. Will always come back.

I give steak and fries a 5 star in all categories, there is a reason they have been here soo long, thats because the friendly quick service and one of t he best bang for your buck. I got the 7 inch steak with fries and everything on it. Was only $15. I highly recommend if you never tried steak n fries, you have to at least once.

This place is amazing! It is plainly shown as a favorite each time I get them by the long lines and consistent business they always have.
The workers/staff are all professional, helpful, and make the orders fresh for each customer in a timely manner.
The cost is slightly higher than your average fast food restaurant, but the flavor and delicious quality of the food will quickly have you forgetting the cost.
Also the food is portioned well and is quite filling!

The BEST cheesesteak, customer service, clean atmosphere, and good location.
This is always my first stop when I come back to Peoria. I get the same thing each time: Jr. Philly Cheesesteak combo. Living in Philly I have noticed they are not the same… they do not toast the bread or add all the extra loving. Peoria’s Cheesesteak taste authentic, toasted bread, perfect amount of cheese and toppings, and served with a smile. Well worth the cook to order style! Definitely add an order of Baklava for dessert.
Also they’re health codes have been 100% for as long as I have been going (since 2006). What other restaurant has that credibility…NONE! Parking street or by the restaurant both are close
I go here so much the owners know my order once I approach the register.

The place is ok, it’s not an authentic or traditional philly cheese steak joint. Like why are lettuce and tomatoes on the sandwich? The meat thou was seasoned pretty well and the quality of it was good too. The Sandwich was kinda dry too and the bread didn’t help much either. Got it with cheese fries but the cup of cheese I got should be the “cheese” on the sandwich but digress. Anyway, spot is just ok and the cheese steak was 6.5 for me.

What do you think I ordered at Steak & Fries?
If you guess some steak with a side of fries, you’d be incorrect. What did I order on this sunny spring day? I honestly don’t remember. Between looking at my photos and looking at the website/online menu, I can usually guess what I order. Not this time. Let’s take a journey as I try to remember.
Based on the photo below, it appears that one of the things I ordered was a BLT but its on a hotdog bun. Yup, I am not making that up. That’s exactly what it looks like. The other item I ordered was another BLT maybe with chicken instead of bacon? A CLT also on a hotdog bun.
Weird.
I couldn’t even begin to guess what the other stuff on the menu would look like once served. Tacos on a hamburger bun? Pizza topped with ice cream? Who knows!
The restaurant is located in CampusTown in Peoria. This area is full of eager college freshmen dodging traffic, the worst intersection in history and a ton of local restaurants. CampusTown specifically has a countless number of places to eat and Steak & Fries is one of them. The name is generic, the food is served in non-traditional ways and the taste was… pretty good. That I do remember. My girlfriend and I were taken back by the unusual way food was presented and then we were taken back by how good it was despite the oddity of it all. You can see on their website that our unique experience isn’t so unique and is just who they are.
If you know me, I am a fan of oddities. I’ve done some strange stuff over my lifetime and tries even stranger things. Nothing illegal. Just going against the grain to try old things in new ways and new things in old ways. So, I have a small soft spot for this visit as it was definitely one to reflect on and laugh about.
I’ve kind of gone off my normal trail with this post. In the end, if you are in need of something different that won’t break the bank, check out Steak & Fries for something different.

I’m an out of state visitor and I stopped here for a quick bite and boy I was in for a TREAT! Steak sandwich was absolutely DELICIOUS, the fries were TOP NOTCH and lightly salted which was perfect. The pictures in this review don’t do justice compared to how great the food is! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Trust me on this.
