Ever since the current crew has taken over, the atmosphere has changed. The customer service has went way down. The portions have gotten smaller(Athens location has not changed portion size).
Also, they had tried to charge me an extra almost $3 for getting a kids meal to go and charged me for extra meat when I didn’t receive or ask for any. The cashier didn’t want to remove the charges until I said I was going to leave without paying for or taking the food. This place still has good food but the service is not good any more.

After going for a couple years , and at least every two weeks the price allways changing , up then down , the food is great if ya get enough anymore ? Ask for more lettuce you’re paying way much more ! I noticed Athens reastaraunt is the best!

We have really enjoyed coming in over the past couple of years. We have noticed though that the quality of things has become more and more lax. The last few times we have gone in, the person taking our order had difficulty understanding and taking our orders (which were just plain menu items where we chose our meat). The tables haven’t been bussed in a timely manner, and this last time we had to tell them there was nowhere to sit and someone came out and bussed a table for us. The women’s bathroom toilet did not flush. When I took the back off, the handle was rigged with a stretched out rubber band that didn’t pull enough to make it flush. I hope the owners are able to address and rectify some of these issues as we have enjoyed coming in the past and would like to look forward to coming back for good food and good service once again.

Delicious food, great value. Don’t have to pay extra for guac, queso, or chips, and variety of toppings includes cucumbers, cilantro, green peppers, onions… They’ve got those edible taco shell bowls… They sell Jarrito’s… It makes sense that there’s no Chipotle or other Mexican fast casual in the area, because they wouldn’t be able to compete with Pepo’s.

I work in the area so I come here very often. The price and the food used to be very good. I slowed down a lot eating here because the price has stayed the same but the portions have went to a kids meal. $13 gets you 3 bites of chicken and 4 grains of rice. Tonight will be my last time blowing money here.

This is second time ive had half my order missing. Had to wait on the food at a table. This time i was eating close enough to go back, the girl at counter said your food was all in the bag. No it wasnt i was missing the second to go box. After she made a phone call she come out of back room threw on gloves and made the rest of my food. The girl wasnt apologetic about it at all even rolled her eyes before saying sorry. Their number is not in service so i couldn’t call. My husband said there is no next time we are done with pepos in etowah! Service has gotten worse in the last year. The new people do not know how to cook the foods.

i live about 6 minutes away and go in at least once a week. they are so friendly, the food is amazing, and the restaurant itself is clean and brightly decorated. the prices are low for the quality of food, it is absolutely delicious, and the portions are HUGE.
I will say, a couple of times i go in, i see customers not talk to the staff in the most respectful tones. yet the staff are always smiling and preparing their meals exactly the way they ask. Be nice, don’t talk to people like they are dogs, especially if you’re in THEIR restaurant eating their delicious food. They can understand you, they are not stupid. Just order your burrito and be a nice person to the people making it. it’s not hard.
if you are in town, i def recommend you going in and trying their food, you won’t be disappointed.

The steak El Padrino is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! Don’t let the zucchini and squash fool you; it is amazing. Make sure they put the cheese sauce on it after it comes off the grill, and get some extra tortillas because it is enough for two meals. The first time I had it, I went back the next day to get it again LOL You will not be disappointed. As a bonus, the restaurant decor is delightful. This little restaurant is a treasure.
