The perch is not yellow perch as you would be expecting it to be from the Great Lakes. I suspect it is farm raised Zander a similar specie but larger and able to be raised in small ponds. The fillets arrived not Cajun as ordered (which is fine and was not my issue) but rather skin side up with a rather large puddle of oil in the center of the each. After turning them over draining them onto a napkin, the flavor was OK. It had several bones. The special of baked “voo doo” cod was good but there was no voo doo sauce on it. There are better quality options throughout Portage county for fish fries.

Just an absolute joy to hang there! Food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. I had the perch special on a Friday night, huge portions and delicious. I will be going back to try the other specials as well as the regular menu.

Great brunch! I had the Eggs Benny and my hubby had the prime rib breakfast – both were hot & delicious! Don’t forget to enjoy a Bloody Mary – also yummy! Highly recommend Jordan Bar for breakfast!

The perch was the best I’ve had! The portions are very large. I took half home for the next day. The boasted chicken was wonderful!.Friday nights it’s crowded & noisy but it won’t prevent us from coming back!

I may have a new favorite fish fry place. The perch is a HUGE ! I had the Cajun Perch with Chive Fries. Great food and awesome/ friendly service from (Tiffani) Will definitely be coming back. My wife had the regular batter perch with sweet potato fries.

Recently visited on a Saturday and was impressed by the friendly service. The pork chops and chicken were exceptional, and the Bloody Mary had outstanding flavor. To elevate the Bloody Mary to the next level, I suggest adding a rim salt to the glass. Although this is not a common practice in Wisconsin bars, it would undoubtedly enhance the overall experience. I am eager to return.
