If you’re looking for authentic, fresh flavors, this is it! The ramen broth is so savory, and the Dakgangjeong chicken has that perfect crunch with a hint of spice. Just a heads-up: the space is tiny. We arrived at opening and watched it fill up instantly. It’s the kind of place where you eat and head out to make room for the next person, so don’t expect a long, relaxed sit-down dinner.

Do you want to be at a tiny ramen shop in Tokyo? Do you want authentic flavors and feel? Do you really truly want to step out of chain or americanized ramens? Then buckle up buttercup and head to Roppongi. It is a hole in the wall so large parties will be an awkward fit but for families and couples and groups of friends this works beautifully. The ramen wall is a fantastic bit of poster art. The decor is tiny Tokyo ramen shop, not hipster ramen bar. The menu is short sweet and to the point. I had pork gyoza and curry pork ramen with cold noodles you dip into hot broth then eat and my mom had the curry miso ramen. It was fantastic. Like guys this beats out several top rated ramen shops I’ve been to in DC and ATL in regards to flavor. Go. Go here now if you crave ramen.

Our first time was so amazing! Wanted a cultural experience in Charlotte and that is exactly what we got! If you like some spice but really not that much you should get a good 2 or 3 and a Mango Lassi so you can keep eating!

Hands down the best ramen spot I’ve tried in Charlotte. Their prices are super affordable, the atmosphere and service are excellent, also the food comes out fast and feels fresh. Highly recommend!

Spicy miso ramen: 10/10 – $13.95
Fried chicken (small): 9/10 – $13.50
Shio ramen: 8/10 – $12.95

One of my favorite go-to Ramen place and Korean Fried Chicken. Always get the KFC to take home though, this was our first time eating it in the restaurant and was so much better since it was piping hot along with the included tempura sweet potatoes. This is the closest ramen place to my house (20 mins away). The staff is always nice and helpful. Although it was my first time trying the Shio Tsukemen dipping ramen, wish the soup would’ve been hotter. Regardless, the food was delicious and fresh tasting. Definitely recommend this place if you want mixture of Japanese and Korean dish.

One of my favorite places in Charlotte. I don’t know what I would do if the owners retire. Best ramen in the city, and the best I’ve had in the States. The Korean fried chicken is amazing too. I go there so often, the lady recognizes me, my friends, and parents.

My work brought me out all over Japan for 3 months and I’ve never been satisfied since. Until I came here that is! This place is amazingly authentic and really healed a part of me I never knew was broken! And on top of that they had great gluten free ramen for my wife that has celiac. Easy5 stars and added to my favorite food list on maps

Came to this place with my people (6 of us total) and enjoyed some pretty decent food!

The ramen was good, as was the Korean fried chicken. Very flavorful, and decent portions!

Parties 6 or more the tip is automatically included.

Only feedback is that personally I would not pay $3.50 for kinda hot green tea that also loses its temperature very quickly. I might suggest heating up the cup its kept in, and I’m not sure the method of heating the water, but hopefully it would be long boiled rather than quick boiled.

Also the space is really a “bar” type and isn’t quite accommodating for big parties. It seems the max party that could be seated at one table is 8.

While we weren’t exactly “rushed” while eating we were asked to leave almost immediately after eating so a family of 5 could have our table.

I would recommend and return for the food overall.

The Korean fried chicken here is unbeatable, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with a sauce that combines the sweet, spicy, and savory flavors. If you come here just to have the ramen, you are missing out!! Please give the fried chicken a try! The price was very reasonable(cheap imo) too!

This place definitely doesn’t get enough hype! We popped in today to order takeout to bring back home, the place is small and very cute and had relaxing music playing. The folks working were very nice and obbbbviously know what they’re doing.

We ordered gyoza, a side of kimchi, then one miso ramen (with meat) and almost ordered one veg miso ramen – the sweet lady who took our order mentioned they also have a miso curry veg ramen and I got that instead, which was indeed the correct choice to make.

The noodles in the ramen are perfect, i’m definitely getting extra on the side next time. The kimchi is a little spicy and sweet and crunchy. The curry miso broth is sooo tasty.

Walking out of the place, i was basically dancing holding my big bag of goods, knowing it was all about to be 10/10. We’ll be back for sure!! <3 much love to the hands that prepared it all!
