I recently moved here from out of state and I was impressed by the Chicken Katsu at F’s Hawaiian Food (near the Woodland Hills Mall).

Place had really cute Hawaiian decor but thats where the good stops.
Most of the tables were dirty even though no one else was in the restaurant the entire time my group and I were there. Plenty of time for someone to clean them but the employees were too distracted by their phones or standing around doing nothing.
Upon centering, the 3 people behind the counter were all frowning and looked pissed off that they had to be there, and did not even acknowledge my group and me. When I was looking at the menu, I asked if there was a specific alteration that could be done to the ramen and I was met with ridicule and treated like I was stupid for asking. The two cooks in the back were rolling their eyes and all 3 employees were acting like they did not want to be there at all.
The food was bland. I had the Teri Chicken bowl. The vegetables were soggy and tasted like old, stingy water. The chicken tasted exactly the same as the teriyaki chicken from panda express. Even the sauce was almost exactly the same but more bland.
The rice was unsalted and soggy as well. I would not recommend this place.

Foods good but honestly for what you pay you don’t get much. I got the medium for $17 and it looks like a small. You’ll get way more food that tastes just as good if no t better at Hawaiian Bros.

I got the F’s Hawaiian Kalua Pig
Specially Seasoned Steamed Shredded Pork Cooked together w/ Cabbage. The pork was tender and tasty, rather disappointed that it doesn’t actually come off of the pig, it’s more like a pork roast that’s been shredded. The cabbage was soft but still crunchy and went well with the pork. The rice was soft and not sticky and the macaroni was really good. I don’t know what Hawaiian macaroni is supposed to taste like but from the research I’ve done this tastes just like the description. My partner got the Teri chicken that was so tender and flavorful. We tried the Spam Musibi, I’m not a big fan of Spam but it was different, the seaweed was crunchy. Will definitely try again

Not a fancy place but a hidden gem with amazing food. Seriously, the food tastes as good as the smell that hits you in the face when you walk in. It’s one of those places you can tell that they love what they do. No, I don’t have any pictures because I inhaled it before I could think. Jimmy came and check on us and was very cool to share his passion. We will be back for Musubi Monday.

If you want friendly service and AMAZING FOOD! This is the place to go! Me and my husband cant get enough of the garlic shrimp & short ribs, when we go!
Side note; They do offer sauces for the shrimp, but you really shouldn’t mess with perfection!

Food was good. I felt like the portion size for the price was a little off. I ordered the biggest plate option and was underwhelmed for paying over $20 for this. The food was good, but not enough to make up for the portion size. If they can fix that, then I would return more often!

I take out a lot here but the past few times the portions were not the same as for when they first opened. I always get the large but lately it has been between a small and medium portion and the cabbage is less than small, so I now order extra cabbage and is charged for it but I never get it! The last time I went in was last week and they gave me chicken breast instead of chicken thighs like always and the taste was totally different please go back to cooking with the chicken thighs it gives out better flavor! But overall the food is good!!

I started with the spam musubi, and then I did the option for multiple items. All of it was so incredibly good. I have never had macaroni salad so delicious in all my life. I wish I had a picture with the sauce but once I poured it on I started eating. They were really friendly, and it’s a really neat atmosphere. I will definitely be going back!
