We went on a Sunday night about 8pm. Miana was our server. Now we were there multiple times when it was TJ‘s,, but after the first time we never ate there again (only pool/ beverages). This was a good experience & we were happy with the food changes.
We had the cheese curds, recommended by our server. They were very good (& not greasy). We (3) all had the same bacon Smashburger. The burgers were delicious. The fries could be cooked longer (a little limp). The server checked on us a few times (always good in my opinion).
Besides cooking the fries longer (crispier) I’d suggest:
1) Switch the hinges on the doors in the ladies room, cause there’s no room to get in stall – but that was TJ’s design
2) And for those complaining about the games and pool tables, maybe move it to the outside area? Then you could probably add more tables inside the dining room)

Ate here earlier today, and I was not impressed. There were hardly any tables sat when we got there and no one waiting ahead of us but it still took about 10 minutes to be sat. The beloved free popcorn was gone which I feel many people would appreciate if they brought back, especially since the wait to get food was longer than I would have liked and was mediocre at best. The atmosphere feels dark, the arcade games are still there but very awkward to play if people are sitting at the table they placed right in the middle of the game section. The beer on tap was flat and almost everything needed salt. The bathroom was dirty when I used it and it was overall clear they haven’t fully worked out their organization or management yet. The food is overpriced for the quality and taste. Also there was an entire baby carrot in the coleslaw? It was buried in the coleslaw and we realized it was in there when the fork hit something hard. In my opinion this rebrand of TJ’s has not been executed as well as I had hoped.

The meals were meh. I had a portobello sandwich that was ok, the avacado and pesto mayo made it have some flavor. My husband got the grilled cheese burger and it just tasted like grease. The other 2 people at my table had burgers and they didn’t like them either. The fries and coleslaw were good. We enjoyed playing pool there. Nice place to hang and play pool but the food left us wishing we went someplace else.

this place is awesome. owner is a good dude, talked to him in person when I ate there. burgers were excellent, fry seasoning on point. Big bar with lots of seating, drinks were strong and good variety of on tap beers. recommend the hot stuffed peppers. im from maryland, the crab dip was spot on. could use some washington commanders merchandise on the walls

Great experience at The Wheel! Our server was very kind, refilled drinks quickly, and checked on us. The food was very yummy and the atmosphere was great. Very cozy, not too loud at all but you could still watch the sports games. We got smash burgers that were very good and, mac n cheese entree (we ate it like an app) and the nachos appetizer. All were great. Definitely recommend!

We had a party of 7 here on January 2. We always went to TJ’s after Oglebay and wanted to continue the tradition. The Wheel was great! The coleslaw (my favorite) was the same as before and it was so good!! I also got a smash burger which was also wonderful! Our server, Maranda, was excellent and she made sure we had everything throughout the entire meal. She was very personable and attentive. We will definitely be coming back!!!!

Went on a Friday night for drinks and food amd it was highly disappointing. The drafts were flat and didnt taste good, we were excited they had the same draft as the previous bar Big Timber Ale but The Wheels did not taste the same at all. We ordered some nachos, they came out quick but the cheese was cold and tasted like lean cuisine cheese. The server was very nice and helpful really the only good thing about this place.

Thoroughly enjoyed The Wheel Restaurants food and atmosphere. It’s not TJ’s and it’s not supposed to be. For opening a few days ago, the waitresses and kitchen worked well together and our food was hot and cooked to order. The Crab Dip was tasty and the Mac & Cheese was very cheesy. Our waiter was attentive and polite. We saw many friends and all tried different dishes with positive responses. Our expectations were met and then some. We will definitely return.

Brisket was dry like an over cooked roast with a weird seasoning
Salsa has a funny taste to it
Pork tacos ok but nothing to order again
Coleslaw not near as good as TJ’s
The food has a weird seasoning on it and is very greasy (fries and chips)
Could not get the weird taste out of my mouth and grease off my lips.
The restaurant is off the list

Hasn’t changed much. Waitress is great. They are out of meatballs which is what I wanted, then I ordered the jambalaya, which has been removed from the menu. Going to try a ceaser salad with chicken.
Ceaser salad was okay, wife had a burger, it was bland. Fries were good and the dipping sauce for the fries were good.
