This place is awesome! Went for breakfast and had the Egg-Cetera omelette. It was everything you’d expect from a local diner. So good!

I’ll definitely be back.

Egg-Cetera Cafe is a nice spot because you always know what your getting. A classic reliable diner breakfast. Nothing over the top but everything is always cooked how you ask for it and the flavors are what you want.

The country fried steak is a very hardy meal if your looking for something to stick to your ribs.

And for the price point, you can’t beat it. There aren’t many places any more where your not breaking the bank to get a decent breakfast.

The service was a little slow, but I believe it was because they were short staffed like so many are right now.

Definitely will be stopping in again.

This place has terrible service and mostly terrible food. Bacon is soggy and fatty – not edible. Even my kids refused to eat the bacon. The Eggs Benedict was clearly canned tasteless hollandaise and eggs were undercooked. I could make a much better version pretty quickly at home. The server didn’t greet us or circle back to ask how the food was – it was very transactional and cold even though it wasn’t busy. Their pancakes are great and our kids liked the decorations. This is our second time and second bad experience.

Eh. Just ok. They only have one server so are understaffed. They were out of rye. Toast on top looked good but under, it was burnt in the middle and raw on the edges. Sausage gravy was watery/runny. Strawberries were dethawed but old pinkish and soggy. It wasn’t horrible but I have eaten and MUCH better mom&pop breakfast eateries.

Friendly gracious waitresses. The amount of food was generous. The food was good, but not particularly flavorful. Coffee was good would like flavored creamer or half-and-half.

The atmosphere and old racist white folks. Not really sure what to make of it all if this will be a passing phase or longterm systemic problem. The pancakes were good but thirty dollars for an omelette breakfast with a side of small cakes and sausage seemed steep. And whats wrong about asking for no ice in my water? When it is delivered with a plastic straw already stuck in it, and yea, with ice. So difficult.

We had a very tasty and filling breakfast this morning. We called ahead to make a reservation (on a non-holiday weekday morning) and were greeted cheerfully and seated immediately.

I got 2 pancakes & bacon (I requested sugar-free syrup and they had it); hubby got the Egg-cetera omelette that came with toast and hashbrowns (he couldn’t even finish it all, which is unusual). We were extremely satisfied when we left. We don’t eat out often (I cook alot) but we will be back.

Take pride in welcoming you and your family into their restaurant. The atmosphere is currently filled with seasonal Halloween decorations that take your eyes and mind on a trip that will put a smile on your face and stir some memories of Halloweens past. I’m told the Christmas decorations are quite extensive and will also be on display when the time comes. This alone has and will warm the hearts of many a customers and make the trip well worth your time.

There’s also lots of eye candy for those whom enjoy the outdoors with hunting lodge types of pictures of hunting dogs and hand carved and painted wild fowl and fish that have some blue ribbons attached to them is a must see.

I have been a repeat customer now ever since my first visit to this exceptional now favorite breakfast spot. The owners have a passion for family and seniors and I have to say it’s a local favorite with many regulars. The menu is very nice and the portions generous and the value is just right. I don’t think I saw anything on the menu over ten dollars.

I had a chance to chat with Cheryl whom is the kindest waitress that gets to know your order and moves like lightening and most times has your drink order before you even sit down. After going there a few times she has my order memorized and it’s three of four variations and always offers some conversation that makes you laugh with some interesting scuttlebutt of the time. Then I have to say the eggs that Brian cooks are some of the best over easy eggs anywhere. The signature breakfast is the Egg-Cetera Omelet, this is one you would want to try if you have a hearty appetite as it is quite filling with all the ingredients nothing to add as it’s all there.

Lastly there is a display of the town of Waconia showing all the buildings and water tower, I don’t know how many ceramic or hand crafted items they have but it’s a lot and they are lite up and one has a good time just looking at that for quite some time. After going back to it a few times I now know there is a story to almost each and every piece. People from around town have donated personal items so it has become sort of a community effort to build this display.

I really wanted to write this up for the Egg-Cetera Café and if you go there to check it out you will know why. So my secret is out…This is a great place to go, do yourself a favor and enjoy a breakfast or lunch while the decorations are on display. Enjoy!

Pass on this place unless you’re specifically looking for a subpar breakfast joint operated by xenophobic QAnon folks. They are not shy about it, either, proudly displaying QAnon rhetoric on the wall. If you are wearing a mask, they’ll refuse service.

Its affordable very nice resturant. And the food is good. And the service is good. Its off back behind other bussiness. You really have to look to find it. But if you use your phone to navigate to find this resturant. Yes it cost money. But you pay for what you order. But like I said the food is good. And it’s a quite place. Alot of families do go there to eat. And you get your money’s worth. Its a nice country resturant. And the bathrooms are clean. I dont have any complaints.thank you. Katrin
