I was in town for a class reunion and I visited the Market Place Restaurant for lunch. I can’t find enough words to describe my awesome experience! I ordered their Market Place Roast Beef with bacon. My sandwich was absolutely amazing! The quality of the ingredients and the flavor combinations were next level amazing! The portion size was perfect, my stomach was tight and very happy! The staff was just as amazing as their food!
Like their sign reads, “Meals and Memories are made here!” I’ll never forget this place and I will definitely be back!

We just moved to the area and after looking around we settled in this super cute place, especially when I saw the croissants!!!
Immediately the curb appeal was AMAZING. Then to walk in and see a bustling, cute cafe with lots of smiling faces was a huge deal to me.
We were greeted with a “hi y’all”!!! We were treated kindly and sat promptly.
They were short staffed, so it did take awhile to place and receive our order, and the sandwich portion was a bit small, but everything tasted good and the sweet tea with clove was the BEST.
The soups were delicious, and piping hot. So good.
While we waited for our meal we had delicious apple pie, that the guy said his grandma baked from scratch. It was delicious. All the desserts looked great.
Overall, I was pleased, I will be back and a regular customer. I’m so happy to have found such a great place.
I didn’t mind the pro- America flag, or decorations either;)

First time going to the market place and I’ll say right off the bat they do a lot of things right here —
The restaurant itself is very nice and “homey” if you will… Good ambience, very spacious inside. There’s a lot of nice decorations, and paintings for sale from (I assume) local artists. In the lady’s bathroom there’s a lot of religious art work and scripture related things, which I really liked. The outdoor seating is great as well. Over all “The Market Place” has a lot of personality
My husband and I ordered 2 smoothies, the bacon and brei sandwhich, the roast beef sandwhich, the chicken salad croissant, and lastly a piece of cheesecake and chocolate cake (we were hungry in our defense haha) Upon checking in on yelp, we were also awarded with a free chocolate chip cookie!
The sandwiches here are a definite 5 stars, and personally I highly recommend the bacon and brei. My husband and I were definitely more than satisfied. The wait staff here is also 5 stars. We were attended by nearly all the servers, as they do a shared tip/order system. Quick story – My husband ordered the monkeys breakfast smoothie, to which they informed us they didn’t have anymore bananas so he would just be getting peanut butter, milk, and oats. He decided to order it anyway and the staff went out of their way to make sure he knew what he was ordering. They even made it, and let him sample it so he could decided if he liked it or not free or charge.
In the spirit of full transparency IF I had to say ONE thing that wasn’t 5 star about this restaurant, it would be how long it took to get our sandwiches…. There weren’t too many people when we arrived, and we noticed that a table that sat down about 10 minutes after us, got their meal before we did. Since this was our first time and I like to air towards the positive, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume there was good reason for this, but because everything else was so great I’m going to give them the 5 stars. Overall good experience and great service ☺️

I got a to-go roast beef and Brie sandwich on a croissant. It’s been ages since I last visited! The sandwich was delicious, but I have to say, the portion sizes have gotten smaller. The croissant was much smaller, and there wasn’t much meat. I’ve been a customer for years, even back when it was on Midland Road.

Friendly wait staff & nice atmosphere!
The half sweet tea & half unsweetened tea with clove, iced, was just right, not too sweet with a hint of clove aftertaste
I ordered the Mediterranean chicken salad. I was disappointed with the portion size. I also did not like the chicken, instead of fresh grilled chicken it had a taste of frozen chicken with a fatty texture.
I look forward to returning to try a different menu item.

I thoroughly enjoyed the most delectable cinnamon roll cheesecake. It was incredibly moist and melted in my mouth. The sauce was simply wonderful; you must try it.

I had the lunch special of 1/2 sandwich + soup + chips.
The bacon brie sandwich was awesome! Over flow with perfectly cooked The berry ham wasn’t that spicy and was a perfect pair with the brie.
The Wisconsin cheddar soup was flavorful and yum!
Only negative was spoon for the soup weren’t given automatically nor were napkins.
Otherwise the staff was friendly and the food was great! I’m definitely coming back and plan to get some of the tasty cheddar piminiento to go.

Market Place has a terrific atmosphere, inside and out. There’s a lovely large patio with tables and bright umbrellas. I stopped in for Brunch and treated myself to a fresh baked croissant, with scrambled egg cheese, and bacon. The tastiest surprise was the jalapeño blackberry jam on the croissant. Oh boy! I’ll be visiting again and again.

What a huge disappointment. I was excited to bring my mom here that is visiting from out of state, and the portion sizes were so small considering the high cost of the sandwich. There was barely any chicken salad on the croissant, and when we asked about it to the staff member (who was not having a good day it seemed- very unfriendly) and owner, they were so rude & condescending. As we were leaving the restaurant, the owner yelled out, “Well, we have to throw it out now”, which was so unnecessary & poor customer service. We ultimately asked for a refund & went to Taglios, where they are super friendly, professional, and have great food. Zero stars.

We arrived at 1:00. We ordered at 1:15 and there were 4 tables other than us already eating. We waited 45 min with still no food and all the tables that came in after us are now eating and we are still waiting and the restaurant was far from busy. Would not recommend to anyone
