We loved our time here at Noku Sushi! It was a very nice restaurant with great and friendly staff and our food was good! Fresh, a good deal, good portions, and got the job done. We will defiantly come back here for a nice lunch in the future!

Decent sushi would definitely go back. Prices are average. I tried the bento box too, another time but didn’t love the bulgogi in it – wasn’t very flavorful like bulgogi should be. The tempura was fresh and crispy though.

This is probably my fourth time eating here. As a vegetarian, I love that there are things that I can order that are specifically made for vegetarian not just food with the meat removed. There is a veggie crunchy roll which is probably the best veggie specific roll that I’ve ever had. I also had their spicy creamy vegan ramen also. Both were great with texture, taste and generous portions. Service was great, maybe a little too attentive, like they wanted the tables to turn over but that was OK since we had a movie to catch. The restaurant can get crowded and with a line/wait.

The service from the server, Ramon, was satisfactory, though not outstanding. The establishment’s ambiance was delightful, with a pleasant atmosphere and optimal acoustics, even at capacity. The background music was carefully selected, contributing to a lovely experience.

I was excited to try this place after shopping nearby and spent $60+ on lunch by myself, including uni sushi and a salmon teriyaki bento box. Within an hour of eating — and having eaten nothing else that day — I developed violent diarrhea and stomach pain that lasted for days.
I contacted the restaurant multiple times trying to speak to a manager, and kept being told to “call back later.” When I finally got through nearly a week later, I was told nothing could be done because I hadn’t called sooner (I had), and that the chef claimed their uni is always fresh.
I have photos of the sushi, which was visibly slimy — something that I recently learned is NOT normal for fresh uni, according to food safety standards. The entire experience was disappointing and unsettling.
I’ve reported the incident to the health department so they can investigate and ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this stop honestly meant more than I expected. I’ve been searching for good uni for months…just hoping for one decent bite, something to remind me that life still has little joys. I thought I was ordering California uni (the price made me do a double take), but when it came out, it was actually from Japan. Real Japan uni. And it was everything I’d been craving.
The sushi bar itself was quiet, kind, and welcoming. They didn’t know it, but I’ve been going through a lot lately…and for just a few minutes, sitting there and soaking in that perfect flavor before running off to the next 500 things on my plate, I finally felt like I could breathe.
I’ll absolutely be back. That moment mattered. Thank you!

We ordered the creamy vegan ramen and it had meat in it! Very disappointing. We were so excited to eat the ramen and try it and even asked the waitress specifically we don’t want any meat in it. Then while we were eating we found some pieces of brown meat and asked our waitress and she said yes it was meat. How could they put meat in a vegan item like we understand mistakes happen but if someone’s ordering a vegan dish due to dietary restrictions should a restaurant be more careful?

Noku has been the best sushi restaurant in our area since their original location in Lansdowne years and years ago. Jake, who also owns the excellent Gogi 92 KBBQ restaurant in the same shopping center, cares first and foremost about quality and good portions. The service is also excellent, thanks to Trisha. Great service and staff! Really great variety of food to choose from. 4 Stars because I have had better Hibachi for the same price and I have to say that the Yum Yum sauce is not that good compared to other Hibachi places. Too mayonnaise tasting. My husband and I both got the Hibachi Steak,shrimp and chicken with fried rice. The fried rice is really bomb and so are the hibachi shrimp. I definitely would recommend this place and I would go here again to try the ramen and sushi.
