Stopped by McSwiggans on a Friday night and really enjoyed it. I’ve not been since it changed ownership. The decor is lovely—warm, inviting, and very clean. Lovely ambiance to the place.
The staff were attentive and welcoming from the moment we walked in. I mentioned I was coeliac and my gluten allergy, they were knowledgeable and offered some great menu choices without hesitation.
I had a Cesar salad without the croutons. I added glazed pecans, bacon and sunflower seeds. Delicious!! The cocktails were very good. Quite a few people in our party said how great they were.
There was a fantastic musician, a young man named George, playing live. His music was at just the right volume—enjoyable and added to the vibe without overpowering conversation.
Our food was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were excellent. Highly recommend if you’re in the area—this place is a great choice for good food, great drinks, and a wonderful night out!

This is a hidden gem for my family. We have had two birthday dinners there. Both experiences were great. Atmosphere was good and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We are from Boston so it is a short drive but I can see that they seem to be a neighborhood restaurant. Those who live near it probably go frequently as I noticed that some staff knew the some of customers. If we have another family dinner, we would definitely consider coming back here. What did we have? Fish and chips, buffalo chicken and bacon Mac and cheese, short ribs and mashed potatoes, and Guinness burger and fries. All four dishes were good and had the family stamps of approval. One person needed a non alcoholic drink and the bartender was able to make a version of rum punch for him. Very pleased.

Great little Irish pub located in Weymouth, MA.
My wife and I have been here many times. Love the food and drinks, the staff are super friendly and the vibe of this place is very welcoming.
Prices are very competitive with the area and we typically do not have too much difficulty getting a table without much of a wait.
Parking is limited, however there is a tire business next door and I have never experienced any issues with parking there after the tire business closes for the evening.
I highly recommend mcswiggins

Great pub. Food was delicious. (I’m a snob for Reuben’s and Mac and cheese and both were fantastic)
Nice bar area and lite live music playing on a Sunday evening.
Would highly recommend!

This was our first time here since they reopened under new owners. They didn’t change anything inside which was good because it’s really nice inside. They also have a few tables outside. We sat at the bar which is pretty big. Our bartender Courtney made really good drinks and was very friendly. We had the fried mushrooms for an appetizer and they were crispy and tasted very fresh. The sauce was delicious. We also had a flatbread pizza and the sauce and toppings were tasty but it was a bit underdone. I’d order it again but just ask for it to be well done. The Mac and cheese was unbelievably delicious! It was creamy and piping hot. The bacon was crispy. I highly recommend it. We had some wings and they were excellent. We will go back.

Happened to be in the area and wanted to grab a quick bite. Checked other reviews and this place sounded good for pub food, which is exactly what we were looking for. My friend had a craving for wings and a cheeseburger. We ordered the buffalo wings and the McSwiggans burger (Guinness BBQ sauce, cheese, bacon, onion rings). Wings were perfect – crispy and completely coated in sauce. Bleu cheese dip did not disappoint. Burger with steak fries was also very good. Burger was cooked medium, as requested, was juicy and delicious. Generous portion and totally satisfying. The place has a full bar and a restively big selection of beers, at least half on tap. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. If you’re in the area and looking for great pub food, I highly recommend checking out this place.

McSwiggan’s is the best pub in Weymouth and the south shore! The food is absolutely delicious. My partner is from Ireland and he considers the food in McSwiggans to be as good as a home cooked meal – especially the beef stew. I love the garden salad with added grilled shrimp. Positively fresh ingredients. The bar is lovely and the owner (Lydia) and the staff are personable, efficient and kind. HIGHLY recommend!

I recently tried the new McSwiggans for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised! The experience was completely different and far better than before. I had the pomegranate lemon drop, which was honestly the best I’ve ever tasted. Their menu is impressive, and I also enjoyed one of their specials, the chicken pot pie. The atmosphere, staff, and decor are warm and inviting. I highly recommend giving it a try—it’s a significant improvement from the old place. Great drinks, amazing staff, and quality food!!

The seafood platter was lightly coated, crunchy, and flavorful. The cocktails were very good. We stopped in for a quick drink and stayed for 3 rounds of musical bingo! Anyone can play. The winner gets a $10 gift card to use that night or in the future. We had so much fun. It starts at 7 pm on Wednesdays. I think trivia night is Tuesdays around the same time. Last but not least, the bartender was on point! He was friendly and he gave great service.

Called ahead with a party of 20. Lydia could not have been more gracious and accommodating. We were seated as we arrived, minutes apart. Food and service were exceptional, a very friendly welcoming staff. Lydia also squared us away with additional parking. Highest recommendation l. Thank you Lydia.
