The staff was very welcoming. Tried the friend chicken and it was ok. A little bit more saltier than I like but there is some crunch to it and it was not dry on the inside. I saw that they also serve jerk chicken so will have to go back on that specific day to try.

First time here, and the food did not disappoint. Ordered a small gumbo that had crab legs, shrimp, chicken, and sausage on a bed of rice. Fish and chicken combo with fries and chili beans. The 4 pieces of spicy chicken with greens and yams. We were both very happy with our flavorful food, and the spicy chicken had a good bite.

All I Can Say Is The Food Wasn’t To Our Liking. My niece and sister had the OX Tails and they said they were very fatty and the gravy tasted like it was out the jar. The shrimp wasn’t cleaned and when I bit one it taste spoiled gave my plate back. I was good! The greens were ok needed a littte more flavor, as well as the mac n cheese. The barbecue sauce was awful. Our experience wasn’t good at all. The guy was a little rude at first until my brother came in. I think the best thing was the fries! Our bill was $200 not worth it at all. If I don’t cook at home I’ll go to The Bay Area if I want Soul Food cause that was definitely not it!!

I ordered the fried chicken combo with yams and greens as the sides, I would have to agree with another reviewer that yams shouldn’t be canned. There’s a distinct difference from canned candied yams and fresh ones when you grew up having them often. The greens had good flavor and the fried chicken was hot and fresh, paired perfectly with crystal hot sauce.

The portions are definitely good. Customer service was great. If anyone said they had bad customer service. I couldn’t believe it. The person at the counter and a person severing food both greeted me when I came in. If you say the food is t good then your taste buds are garbage. I travel around the United States 90% of the time and this food def Comforted me and made me feel at home. Thank you guys 1000% and you should be celebrated from the mountain top.

Talking bout some soul food. I haven’t had many places up here. Originally from SD but this is the ticket. Perfect fry, nothing dry. Creamy Mac n cheese and bomb green cabbage mix. Corn bread soft and moist and to top it off it won’t break your pockets. 10/10 will dine here again

Food is so flavorful and large portions. I definitely recommend their oxtail and fried chicken. Their greens and Mac and cheese is us must! They are very friendly but there is no sense of urgency to get orders out and the interior can definitely use some sprucing up!

BEST SOUL FOOD!! i went today for the first time and got mac n cheese, beans and fried chicken with cornbread with a drink it was about 20$ and well worth it. i will come again and again it was very tasteful. they also played good music and had on movies. great restraunt well done Rhaspody!!
